Three Inches
''Three Inches'' is an American science fiction action television film, intended to serve as the pilot episode for a proposed series. Created by writer-producer Harley Peyton and directed by Jace Alexander it aired on Syfy on December 29, 2011. The show follows a group of people with superhuman abilities, focusing on Walter Spackman, played by Noah Reid, an underachiever who develops a telekinetic ability after being struck by lightning. The movie received favorable reviews, but failed to spawn into the TV series. A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Sitcoms originated in radio, but today are found mostly on television as one of its dominant narrative forms.
