Thorstein Treholt
Thorstein Treholt (13 April 1911 – 17 March 1993) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was the father of convicted Norwegian spy Arne Treholt. He was born in Skoger. An agronomist by education, Treholt was state secretary to the Minister of Agriculture from 1954 to 1957, serving under three different ministers during the period (Rasmus Nordbø, Olav Meisdalshagen and Harald Johan Løbak). He later became the Minister of Agriculture in 1971–1972 in the first cabinet Bratteli and 1973–1976 in the second cabinet Bratteli, the two periods only interrupted by the non-labour cabinet Korvald. Meanwhile, Treholt was appointed to cabinet his place was filled by Magne Kristian Mælumshagen and Ã…ge Hovengen. As an elected politician he was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Oppland in 1958, and later re-elected on four occasions. Rasmus Nordbø
Rasmus Mathias Nordbø (5 February 1915 23 February 1983) was a Norwegian administrator and government minister. He served as state secretary to the Minister of Agriculture in the second cabinet of Einar Gerhardsen (1948-1951), and later himself as Minister of Agriculture in the cabinet of Oscar Torp (1951-1955). Later Nordbø was County Minister of Agriculture for Sogn og Fjordane from 1955 to 1964, when he was given the same post for the county of Vestfold. The Minister of Agriculture and Food ( no, Landbruks- og matministeren) is a councilor of state and chief of the Norway's Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The ministry is responsible for issues related to agriculture, forestry and food. Major subordinate agencies include the Norwegian Agriculture Authority, the Norwegian Food Safety Authority and Statskog. The position was created on 31 March 1900, along with the ministry, and Ole Anton Qvam was the inaugural officeholder. Fifty people from eight parties have held the office. Brandbu is a village in Gran Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. The village is located in Hadeland, along the eastern shore of the large lake Randsfjorden, about to the northwest of the capital city of Oslo. Oppland
Oppland is a former county in Norway which existed from 1781 until its dissolution on 1 January 2020. The old Oppland county bordered the counties of Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Akershus, Oslo and Hedmark. The county administration was located in the town of Lillehammer. Ã…ge Hovengen (21 December 1927 – 19 October 2018) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Brandbu. Biography He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Oppland in 1977, and was re-elected on two occasions. He had previously served as a deputy representative during the term 1973–1977. From 1973 to 1976 he met as a regular representative, filling the seat of Thorstein Treholt who was appointed to the second cabinet Bratteli. On the local level he was a member of Vestre Slidre municipal council from 1963 to 1977. Outside politics he worked as a car mechanic. He was also active in the Norwegian Farmers and Smallholders Union.
