Thorleifs Hit Collection is a 2002 Thorleifs double compilation album. At the album charts, it peaked at 42nd position in Sweden. The compilation was released for the band's 40th anniversary, and many of the oldest songs are rerecordings from the 1995 compilation '' Historien Thorleifs''. Tre Gringos
Tre gringos (''Three gringo's'') is a song originally recorded by Just D on 1995 album "Plast". Originally, the song had a doo-wop arrangement. During the Grammis Awards ceremony in 1996 gala, Just D performed the song together with Thorleifs. The song was now turned into a dansband song with a saxophone arrangement. This version was also released as a single, topping the Swedish singles chart. The song also stayed at Svensktoppen for totally 13 weeks between 16 March-8 June 1996, peaking at second position. The Just D and Thorleifs recording charted at Trackslistan for 9 weeks between 9 March-4 May 1996. Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, formerly known as Topplistan (1975–1997) and Hitlistan (1998–2007) and known by its current name since October 2007, based on sales data from the Swedish Recording Industry Association (in Swedish Grammofonleverantörernas förening). Before Topplistan, music sales in Sweden were recorded by Kvällstoppen, whose weekly chart was a combined albums and singles list. "Don't Cry for Me Argentina" is a song recorded by Julie Covington for the 1976 concept album ''Evita'', later included in the 1978 musical of the same name. The song was written and composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice while they were researching the life of Argentine leader Eva Perón. It appears at the opening of the first and second acts, as well as near the end of the show, initially as the spirit of the dead Eva exhorting the people of Argentina not to mourn her, during Eva's speech from the balcony of the Casa Rosada, and during her final broadcast. The ''Evita'' album had taken 3–4 months to record, since Rice was not satisfied with the intensity of the initial recordings. Just D
JustD ( en, That's right) was a Swedish hip hop trio formed in Stockholm in 1990. The group consisted of Gustave Lund (Gurra G), Wille Crafoord (Doktor C) and Peder Ernerot (Pedda P). They had several chart successes during the early-mid 1990s. Their contribution to the Swedish hip hop scene is significant because they were the first successful Swedish language rap act. Their dominance in the Swedish charts during the early 1990s opened up a new market in the Swedish music scene for artists who wished to record rap music in Swedish. Previously, prior to the success of Just D, Swedish rap artists used English rhymes in a bid to succeed in the international market. "Gråt inga tårar" is a song written by Åke Hallgren in the dansband Pippis from Hede, Sweden, Hede, and recorded and a released a single by several dansbands in 1974 in music, 1974, including Pippis, Dannys and Thorleifs. Thorleifs
Thorleifs was a Swedish dansband, formed in 1962 in Norrhult, Kronoberg County, Sweden and led by Thorleif Torstensson. The band sings in Swedish and many other languages, and released some albums in German. It also took part in Melodifestivalen 2009 with the song "Sweet Kissin' in the Moonlight" but did not proceed into the finals.
