The Frederick Baronetcy, of Burwood House in the County of Surrey, is a title in the Baronetage of Great Britain. It was created on 10 June 1723 for John Frederick of Burwood House in the southern half of Walton-on-Thames which later became Hersham.''Burke's'': 'Frederick'. He was the grandson of the wealthy merchant Sir John Frederick (b.1601) Lord Mayor of London in 1662 and Member of Parliament for Dartmouth and the City of London, president of Christ's Hospital rebuilding its hall after the Fire of London by expending £5,000 and founding its mathematical school. He died in 1685 leaving £42,000 (£170,000,000 in 2015 money). In the late 18th century the fourth Baronet represented Shoreham and West Looe in the House of Commons while the fifth Baronet represented Newport (Cornwall), Christchurch and Surrey. New Shoreham (UK Parliament Constituency)
New Shoreham, sometimes simply called Shoreham, was a parliamentary borough centred on the town of Shoreham-by-Sea in what is now West Sussex. It returned two Members of Parliament (MPs) to the House of Commons of England from 1295 to 1707, then to the House of Commons of Great Britain until 1800, and finally to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom from 1801 until it was abolished by the Redistribution of Seats Act 1885, with effect from the 1885 general election. A modern constituency called Shoreham existed from 1974 to 1997. Boundaries, franchise and boundary changes New Shoreham is a part of Shoreham-by-Sea, located around its port. The borough, in 1800, had about 1,000 electors. The qualification for the vote before 1832, unusually for a borough, was the possession of a 40 shilling freehold which was the normal franchise for a county constituency. Rear-Admiral Thomas Lennox Frederick (25 March 1750 – 7 October 1799) was an officer in the Royal Navy who served during the American War of Independence and the French Revolutionary Wars. He was a highly educated officer and a very greatly esteemed seaman, rising to the rank of rear-admiral of the red. Early life He was born on 25 March 1750, in the parish of St George's, Hanover Square. He was the son of Sir Charles Frederick, the Surveyor-General of the Ordnance, and Lucy Boscawen. His grandfather was Sir John Frederick. Thomas first went to sea in 1768, under Captain Peter Parker.
