This Is Desolation
This Is Desolation is the second full-length studio album recorded by Shell Beach. It was released in November, 2012. Recording and production The band worked on this 11-song record for the past two years. The album has 11 tracks and includes Matt Geise of Lower Definition (Ferret) / Dance Gavin Dance ( Rise Records) and Zeek as special guest vocalists in two of the songs, with Tamás Somló ( Lokomotiv GT) playing the clarinet on track #9. The second record further helped Shell Beach get established as the most prominent band of the Hungarian and Budapest post-hardcore scenes. The album was recorded in Pannonia Studios and mixed and mastered by Dávid Schram. Music videos ''Vital Signs'', the first music video for the album was released in November, 2012. Shell Beach is a post-hardcore band from Budapest, Hungary. The band has released two full-length albums and an EP. Shell Beach released their debut album ''Acronycal'' in 2007 on Edge Records. The first new recording, a song titled "The Greatest Skeptic" from their upcoming album, was released online on the band's website in September 2011. Their anticipated second album '' This Is Desolation'' was released in 2012. History Shell Beach was founded by long-time friends in 2006. The band name was inspired by the unreachable paradise destination from the movie Dark City. Post-hardcore is a punk rock music genre that maintains the aggression and intensity of hardcore punk but emphasizes a greater degree of creative expression. Dávid Schram
David Schram is Hungarian musician and record producer, best known internationally as the guitarist of the Hungarian rock band FreshFabrik and the producer of Sexepil's '' Your Scream Is Music'', and Shell Beach's '' This Is Desolation''. Life and career In 2002 Schram obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in recording engineering from the SAE Institute, Sydney Australia. FreshFabrik In September 1996, Schram joined FreshFabrik as a guitarist. He recorded the album entitled ''Nerve'' with the band in 1997. Two years after his arrival he left the band in September 1998. Schram later became the record producer for the band recording several albums such as MORA. Production career From 2002 to 2008 Schram worked for Warner Bros. in Budapest as a sound engineer. Lower Definition
Lower Definition is an American post-hardcore band from San Diego, California, United States, formed in 2002. The band released two studio albums and six EPs before disbanding in 2009. After that they released an EP in 2011 called 'The Infinite Et Cetera'. In 2020 the band reunited and has since released 4 songs. History 2002-2009 Lower Definition was formed in 2002 by Eddy Marshburn and Valentino Arteaga. Marshburn's sister introduced the two and they began rehearsing, soon connecting with other musicians. The band started out playing in the all-ages scene of San Diego. Ferret Music
Ferret Music was an American independent record label turned Warner Music Group subsidiary, founded in 1996. The label is owned by NORA's vocalist, Carl Severson, and based in West Windsor, New Jersey. Ferret recently started an imprint called New Weathermen Records. Warner Music Group's Alternative Distribution Alliance acquired a stake in Ferret Music in August, 2006, and as a result is currently distributed by Fontana Distribution, Alternative Distribution Alliance and eOne Music. Dance Gavin Dance is an American rock band from Sacramento, California, formed in 2005. The band currently consists of vocalists Jon Mess and Tilian Pearson, lead guitarist Will Swan, rhythm guitarist Andrew Wells, and drummer Matthew Mingus.
