Pseudomonadota (synonym Proteobacteria) is a major phylum of Gram-negative bacteria. The renaming of phyla in 2021 remains controversial among microbiologists, many of whom continue to use the earlier names of long standing in the literature. Gammaproteobacteria is a class of bacteria in the phylum Pseudomonadota (synonym Proteobacteria). It contains about 250 genera, which makes it the most genera-rich taxon of the Prokaryotes. Tagoro is a submarine volcano located off the southern coast of the island of El Hierro, in the Atlantic Ocean. It is part of the Canary Islands Seamount Province. Eruption The volcano was born upon an eruption that started on 10 October 2011, at a location 1.8 km to the south of the island of El Hierro, more specifically the settlement of La Restinga.
