ThincLab
ThincLab is a network of startup incubators created by the University of Adelaide in South Australia, the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand, and other partners, including Primary Industries and Regions SA. The ThincLab main offices are in Pulteney Street, in Adelaide city centre. Other locations include the Waite Campus of Adelaide University, in the Adelaide suburb of Urrbrae; Loxton in the Riverland of South Australia; Singapore; Christchurch, New Zealand; and France. The incubator supports startups in several industries, including agricultural technology, space industry, social enterprise, the food industry, and high-tech. The Innovation Collaboration Centre (ICC) is a startup incubator based in Adelaide, South Australia, which runs Venture Catalyst Space to help companies grow their businesses in the space industry. It is part of the University of South Australia, and has funded several startups . Description Based in Adelaide, ICC runs the Venture Catalyst Hi-Tech & Venture Catalyst Space program. Lot Fourteen
Lot Fourteen is a business and technology precinct at the eastern end of North Terrace in Adelaide city centre, South Australia. The site formerly accommodated the old Royal Adelaide Hospital, which was moved to a new building at the western end of North Terrace in 2017. Its name was derived from the original 1837 plan for Adelaide by surveyor-general Colonel William Light. By 2020, refurbished hospital buildings were home to a large number of tenants, and further new buildings and public spaces are planned, scheduled for completion around 2025. The redevelopment of the site has been led by the Department of the Premier and Cabinet. The Aboriginal Art and Cultures Centre (AACC), also known as Tarrkarri, a new Aboriginal cultural centre and gallery planned for completion in 2024/5, will be the centrepiece of the development. Loxton, South Australia
Loxton is a town on the south bank of the River Murray in the Riverland region of South Australia. It is located on the lands of the Erawirung people who occupied the area before European colonisation. At the 2016 census, Loxton had a population of 4,568. It is a service town for the surrounding districts. Loxton's primary productions are agriculture & horticulture. Citrus fruit, wine grapes, almond and stone fruit trees are prevalent. Loxton is also the main town for the northern part of the Murray Mallee which is a dryland farming and grain cropping area. Loxton High School provides secondary education for the area.
