Venhuizen
Venhuizen (; fy, Fenhúze) is a town in the north-western Netherlands, in the province of North Holland and the region of West-Frisia, in the municipality of Drechterland. Venhuizen was a separate municipality until 1 January 2006, when it was merged with the existing municipality of Drechterland. It was decided to call the new municipality Drechterland. On a map of the Hollands Noorderkwartier from 1288 is Venhuizen mentioned as ''Veenhusen''. The name could be referring to houses at or in the fen. Apeldoorn
Apeldoorn (; Dutch Low Saxon: ) is a municipality and city in the province of Gelderland in the centre of the Netherlands. It is located about 60 km east of Utrecht, 60 km west of Enschede, 25 km north of Arnhem and 35 km south of Zwolle. Nieuwkuijk
Nieuwkuijk is a village in the Dutch province of North Brabant. It is located in the municipality of Heusden, about 10 km west of 's-Hertogenbosch. History The village was first mentioned in 1383 as Niewekuyc, and means "new settlement of Cuijk". The family of Cuijk used to own land in the area. Castle Onsenoort was built in 1382 by the ''heer'' of the ''heerlijkheid'' Nieuwkuijk. In the 19th century, it became part of the Cistercian monastery Mariënkroon. The tower probably dates from the 14th century. The building of the monastery were built in 1910. The main building and gate were added between 1934 and 1935. In 2016, the abbey closed down. It is nowadays in use as a conference centre. Castle d'Oultremont probably originates from the 15th century. In 1707, it became owned by the counts of d'Oultremont. Egmond Aan Zee
Egmond aan Zee () is a village on the North Sea coast in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Bergen, about 9 km west of Alkmaar. Egmond aan Zee was a separate municipality until 1978, when it merged with Egmond-Binnen and Egmond aan den Hoef to form the new municipality Egmond. In turn, Egmond was amalgamated into Bergen on 1 January 2001. History This best-known of the three villages of Egmond was formed in the coastal dunes. According to legend, it was founded around 977. Brakel () is a municipality in the Belgian province of East Flanders in the Denderstreek and the Flemish Ardennes. The name is derived from a Carolingian villa ''Braglo'' first mentioned in 866 and located in the center of Opbrakel. Berlicum is a town in the south of the Netherlands, located in North Brabant's Meierij region near the city of s-Hertogenbosch and the river Aa.
