Thijmen Kupers (born 4 October 1991) is a Dutch middle-distance runner who specialises in the 800 metres. Raised in Lengel, Montferland, Lengel, Gelderland,Thijmen Kupers Running Team Achterhoek. Retrieved on 2014-03-10. he participated in association football, football and long-distance running as a child. He gradually became more interested in running and signed up with Running Team Achterhoek, a local group. He competed in national junior competitions and began to train regularly around 2008. He placed in the top three in the Dutch junior 800 m race in 2009 and 2010. Kupers began to make an impact nationally in 2012. Thijmen Jacobsz Hinlopen
Thijmen Jacobsz Hinlopen (also Tymen; Thymen; Hinloopen; 1572–1637), was one of the leaders of the Dutch merchant and whaling company of Noordsche Compagnie beginning in 1617 and participant in the New Netherland Company, interested in furs. Thijmen was a prominent trader in corn from the Baltic carrying on trade to Genoa and Portugal. He was the namesake of Cape Henlopen, Delaware and Hinlopen Strait. Family The Hinlopen family is said to have originated from Brabant. Thijmen Koopmans
Thijmen (Tim) Koopmans (11 August 1929 – 24 December 2015) was a Dutch judge and prominent academic. He was a judge of the Supreme Court of the Netherlands and the European Court of Justice. Biography Koopmans was born on 11 August 1929 in Amsterdam.Family notices in '' NRC Handelsblad'', 29 December 2015. In 1953 he earned a Doctor of Law degree at the University of Amsterdam. He then pursued a career as advocate and procurator in Haarlem. In 1956 he started at the Ministry of Justice of the Netherlands, he stayed there until 1962. He made his first move into European law when he joined the legal department of the Council of the European Communities, he stayed there until 1965. He returned to the Netherlands where he became a full professor at Leiden University, working in that position between 1965 and 1978.
