There Will Be Violence
''There Will Be Violence'' is the third studio album by American Christian deathcore band Impending Doom and was released worldwide on July 20, 2010, via Facedown Records. It is the first with drummer Brandon Trahan, formerly of xDeathstarx. Trahan was asked by former bandmate Cory Johnson to join Impending Doom after drummer Isaac Bueno left the band prior to the recording of the album. It also the first album not to feature founding member Manny Contreras on guitar, although he is credited with writing some of material on the record. Critical reception The album received limited but generally positive reviews, despite the mixed to negative reception from fans. Of the reviews collected, the ''NewReview'' gave the album a perfect 5 out of 5 and stated: "Impending Doom has found their niche in the metal market by skillfully balancing brutality and finesse. Impending Doom (American Band)
Impending Doom is an American Christian deathcore band from Riverside, California. The group has released six full-length studio albums and are currently a five piece with lead vocalist Brook Reeves as one of the two original remaining members along with Manny Contreras who left the band in 2010 but returned in 2012. The band refers to their style of music as "gorship" - a portmanteau of the words gore and worship. History Guitarist Manny Contreras and vocalist Brook Reeves started Impending Doom together on October 31, 2005. The band practiced with their sound before writing enough songs to record their demo, ''The Sin and Doom of Godless Men''. After this release, Greg Pewthers joined as a third guitarist after also leaving Oblige. Later that year, bassist Jon Alfaro left the band and David Sittig was added to the line-up in his replacement. Chris Forno also left and was never replaced. Deathcore
Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore breakdowns. Facedown Records is a Christian rock record label based in Fallbrook, California that is devoted to hardcore punk and metalcore bands (Christian and secular) with a few death metal acts such as Immortal Souls and Indwelling. Tim Lambesis
Timothy Peter Lambesis (born November 21, 1980) is an American musician and producer, best known as the founding member and lead vocalist of American metalcore band As I Lay Dying. He also had a solo/side thrash metal project in tribute to actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Austrian Death Machine, in which he performed all the instruments. He also formed a death metal band called Pyrithion and played guitar for Society's Finest and Point of Recognition. Lambesis was arrested in 2013 after attempting to hire an undercover police officer to murder his wife. He pled guilty in 2014 and was sentenced to serve six years in prison. Lambesis was released on parole in December 2016. Lambesis was a judge for the 8th and 10th annual Independent Music Awards to support independent artists' careers. ''The Serpent Servant'' is the second studio album by American Christian deathcore band Impending Doom. They worked with the metalcore band As I Lay Dying vocalist Tim Lambesis and his production partner Daniel Castleman to record the album. The album was released in the US on March 31, 2009, from Facedown Records and on March 30, 2009, through Siege of Amida Records. This album hit #144 on the ''Billboard'' 200. #3 In Heatseekers. ''Baptized in Filth'' is the fourth studio album by American Christian deathcore band Impending Doom. It was released on March 13, 2012 through the eOne Music label. The lead single released for the album is "For the Wicked", which had a music video produced for it. A music video for the song "Murderer" was released by the band in support of the album, and lastly, the band released the video for the song "Deceiver" on June 26, 2012.
