''Baptized in Filth'' is the fourth studio album by American Christian deathcore band Impending Doom. It was released on March 13, 2012 through the eOne Music label. The lead single released for the album is "For the Wicked", which had a music video produced for it. A music video for the song "Murderer" was released by the band in support of the album, and lastly, the band released the video for the song "Deceiver" on June 26, 2012. The band played on the Metal Alliance Tour 2012 alongside DevilDriver, The Faceless, Dying Fetus, Job for a Cowboy and 3 Inches of Blood. Impending Doom (American Band)
Impending Doom is an American Christian deathcore band from Riverside, California. The group has released six full-length studio albums and are currently a five piece with lead vocalist Brook Reeves as one of the two original remaining members along with Manny Contreras who left the band in 2010 but returned in 2012. The band refers to their style of music as "gorship" - a portmanteau of the words gore and worship. History Guitarist Manny Contreras and vocalist Brook Reeves started Impending Doom together on October 31, 2005. The band practiced with their sound before writing enough songs to record their demo, ''The Sin and Doom of Godless Men''. After this release, Greg Pewthers joined as a third guitarist after also leaving Oblige. 3 Inches of Blood was a Canadian heavy metal band formed in 1999 in Victoria, British Columbia, last consisting of Cam Pipes, Justin Hagberg, Shane Clark, and Ash Pearson, none of whom were original members of the band. Their music was strongly influenced by the new wave of British heavy metal movement. Ryan Clark (musician)
Ryan Clark (born June 23, 1979) is an American graphic designer and musician who also has performed under the stage name Maven. He is best known as the lead vocalist of the Christian metal band Demon Hunter, which he co-founded with his brother, guitarist Don Clark. He was also the frontman for Christian metalcore band Training for Utopia along with being one of the guitarists for Focal Point. He is featured on Zao's ''The Lesser Lights of Heaven'' DVD and Mark Salomon's Podcast, Never Was. Demon Hunter is an American Christian metal band from Seattle, Washington, started in 2000 by brothers Don Clark and Ryan Clark. Although the brothers created the band together, only Ryan remains, since Don left the band to take care of his family. As of early 2010, the band has sold over half a million albums. The band's style is known for combining nu metal sounds and qualities with ones heard in metalcore. The name references historic and folkloric demon hunters. The Famine was an American death metal band formed in Arlington, Texas in 2007. They were signed to Solid State Records. Deathcore
Deathcore is an extreme metal subgenre that combines death metal with metalcore. The genre consists of death metal guitar riffs, blast beats, and metalcore breakdowns. While there are some precursors to the concept of death metal fused with metalcore/hardcore elements seen in the 1990s, deathcore itself emerged in the early 2000s and gained prominence beginning in the mid-2000s within the southwestern United States, especially Arizona and inland southern California (mostly the Coachella Valley), which are home to many notable bands and various festivals. Dying Fetus is an American death metal band originally from Greater Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Formed in 1991, the group is known for their consistently hook-laden song structures, characterized by blast beats, complex riffing, slam riffs and heavy breakdowns. Additionally, their reality-based lyrics characterized by political/modern themes are notable in death metal.
