Thelma Mansfield
Thelma Mansfield (born 1949) is an Irish television presenter and artist that worked mainly with RTÉ television. She started out at RTÉ in 1965 as a continuity announcer. From 1986–97, she co-hosted the RTÉ 1 afternoon show ''Live at 3'' with Derek Davis. Since retiring in the late 1990s, Mansfield has concentrated on painting and regularly exhibits her work. She married photographer John "Johnny" Morris, son of Michael Morris, 3rd Baron Killanin and twin brother of Mouse Morris Michael "Mouse" Morris, formally the Hon. ''Live at 3'' is a popular Irish afternoon chat show broadcast live on RTÉ 1. Presented by Thelma Mansfield and Derek Davis, it was RTÉ's flagship daytime show from 1986 until 1997. Ireland's most successful Daytime TV programme, reaching audiences of 300,000 at times, both young and old. The Monday edition was produced for older viewers and evolved from "Going Strong" presented by Bunny Carr. Its theme music was 'Arlecchino' by Rondò Veneziano. Derek Davis
Derek Davis (26 April 1948 – 13 May 2015) was an Irish broadcaster. On television, he co-hosted '' Live at 3'', presented '' Davis at Large'' and '' Out of the Blue'' and won ''Celebrity Bainisteoir''. Early life Davis was born in Bangor, County Down to a Protestant father and a Roman Catholic mother (a native of Bray, County Wicklow). He attended St. MacNissis College, a Catholic boarding school in County Antrim and described his early childhood life as ecumenical. During his childhood he acquired a love of boats which later provided the inspiration for the TV series '' Out of the Blue''. Television Davis started as a news reporter with the American network ABC and BBC Northern Ireland before spending 11 years in the newsroom in RTÉ. In the early 1980s he became a newsreader for ''The Six-o-clock News'' and began to become well known due to his sometimes off-the cuff comments on news stories. Michael Morris, 3rd Baron Killanin
Michael Morris, 3rd Baron Killanin, (30 July 1914 – 25 April 1999) was an Irish journalism, journalist, author, sports official, and the sixth President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He succeeded Martin Henry FitzPatrick Morris, 2nd Baron Killanin, his uncle as Baron Killanin in the Peerage of the United Kingdom in 1927, when he was 12, which allowed him to sit in the House of Lords at the Palace of Westminster as Lord Killanin upon turning 21. Michael "Mouse" Morris, formally the Hon. Michael Morris, (born 4 April 1951) is an Irish racehorse trainer and former amateur and professional jockey. As a trainer, he has won the Grand National and the Cheltenham Gold Cup, and has won the Irish Grand National twice. In 2016, he won both the Grand National and Irish Grand National double. Early life Morris was born in Spiddal, County Galway, Ireland and is the third son of Michael Morris, 3rd Baron Killanin, who was president of the International Olympic Committee from 1972 to 1980 and Chairman of Galway Racecourse from 1970 to 1985.
