Hugh Dierker
Hugh E. Dierker (1890 – 1975) was an American film director and producer. Biography Dierker worked at Pathé. By 1920 he had established his own production company, Hugh Dierker Productions. Junior Coghlan wrote about him in his autobiography. A photograph of him and Bebe Daniels appeared in the ''Los Angeles Herald'' April 14, 1922 in connection with a showing of his production '' When Dawn Came''. Thomas Edward Brown (January 6, 1913 – June 3, 1990) was an American actor and model. Biography Brown was born in New York City, the son of William Harold "Harry" Brown and Marie Francis Brown. As a child model from the age of two years, Brown posed as Buster Brown, the Arrow Collar Boy and the Buick boy. Brown was educated at the New York Professional Children's School. He was carried on stage in his mother's arms when he was only six months old. As an actor, he is probably best remembered for playing the title role in ''The Adventures of Smilin' Jack'' and as Gilbert Blythe in ''Anne of Green Gables'' (1934). Tammany Young (September 9, 1886 – April 26, 1936) was an American stage and film actor. Early life Born in New York City, Young appeared on Broadway in ''The Front Page'' (1928) by Ben Hecht and ''The New Yorkers'' (1930) by Herbert Fields and Cole Porter. He was considered a "good luck actor" by Broadway producers. He was often cast in bit parts by the likes of The Shuberts, Jed Harris and David Belasco to bring luck to their productions. His reputation in the theater business was such that his likeness was drawn in caricature by Alex Gard for Sardi's restaurant. That picture is now part of the collection of the New York Public Library. Career In Hollywood, Young started out in silent films and then was cast in talkies. Flora Finch
Flora Finch (17 June 1867 – 4 January 1940) was an English-born vaudevillian, stage and film actress who starred in over 300 silent films, including over 200 for the Vitagraph Studios film company. The vast majority of her films from the silent era are currently classified as lost. Early life and career Finch was born into a music hall and travelling theatrical family in London and was taken to the United States as a young child. She kept up the family tradition and worked in theatre and the vaudeville circuit right up until her 30s. She had her first film roles at the American Mutoscope and Biograph Company starting in 1908. There she worked with Fatty Arbuckle, Mack Sennett (with whom she was reportedly involved romantically for a short time), Charlie Chaplin, and other leading performers and producers of the silent era.
