''The Frank Show'' is a morning talk radio show that originates from KLPX in Tucson, Arizona. The show broadcasts mornings from 6 am to 10 am Mountain Standard Time on Classic rock station 96.1 KLPX in the Tucson area, which is owned by Lotus Communications. The show is available on demand as daily podcast Prior to its move to KLPX on June 28, 2010, The Frank Show was previously broadcast on a sister station of KLPX, Alternative rock station 102.1 KFMA. Frank Brinsley
Frank Brinsley (b. May 1971 in Washington, DC) is a self-proclaimed small market “ shock jock”. As the son of a preacher, his family moved a lot for his father’s work. Brinsley spent time in places like Colorado Springs, Cincinnati, and the small town of Ashland, Kentucky in northeastern Kentucky. The latter is where he spent most of his time growing up. Brinsley graduated from Boyd County high school in 1989. Brinsley entered radio at age 15, on Christian AM station 1040 WOKT in Ashland. From there, he moved on to WWKU in Glasgow, Kentucky. The first top-50 station he worked for outside of Kentucky was in Memphis, for FM 100 Memphis. From there, he moved on to market number 19-Tampa. Shortly after, he went to New York City to work as a music director for Hot AC radio station Big 105, which is now Power 105. Free FM
Free FM was a short-lived, mostly-talk-radio format and brand name for eleven FM CBS Radio stations in the United States, and was created because of Howard Stern's departure to Sirius Satellite Radio in January 2006. Free FM was given its name to highlight that its stations broadcast free-to-air, instead of requiring a subscription fee like satellite radio services. Launched on October 25, 2005, Free FM was phased out over the course of 2007, with the final station using it, KLSX, dropping the brand in November 2008. Free FM stations targeted a largely male demographic ranking from 18 to 49, attracting those who normally listen to FM rock and alternative stations, instead of existing AM talk radio listeners. Howard Allan Stern (born January 12, 1954) is an American radio and television personality, comedian, and author. He is best known for his radio show, ''The Howard Stern Show'', which gained popularity when it was nationally syndicated on terrestrial radio from 1986 to 2005. KALV-FM (101.5 MHz, "Live 101-5") is a commercial FM radio station in Phoenix, Arizona. It is owned by Audacy, Inc. and it airs a Top 40/ CHR format. KALV-FM's studios are located in downtown Phoenix, and its transmitter is in South Mountain Park. For its first 20 years, the stations went by the call letters KHEP. ''Rock Band'' is a music video game developed by Harmonix, published by MTV Games and distributed by Electronic Arts. It is the first title in the ''Rock Band'' series. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions were released in North America on November 20, 2007, while the PlayStation 2 version was released on December 18, 2007 and the Wii version on June 22, 2008. KFMA
KFMA (102.1 FM) is commercial radio station located in Tucson, Arizona, broadcasting to the Tucson, Arizona area. KFMA airs an active rock music format. It runs the week day jumpstart with Riley week mornings. KFMA has an ERP of 100,000 watts. Its studios are in northern Tucson while the transmitter is southeast of the city. KFMA formerly broadcast on 92.1 MHz with a repeater on 101.3. The signal was sometimes hard to pick in all areas of the Tucson Metro Area due to distance, and the fact that the 92.1 frequency had an ERP of 50,000 watts. To overcome this, it has K267AF, a translator located in Tucson that broadcasts on 101.3, which in many parts of Tucson is much easier to hear.
