The Wife Of An Important Man
''The Wife of an Important Man'' ( ar, زوجة رجل مهم, translit. z''awgat ragol mohim'') is a 1988 Egyptian drama film directed by Mohamed Khan. Starring Ahmad Zaki and Mervat Amin, the film tells us the story of the rise and fall of a police officer during the regime of Anwar El Sadat. It is one of the Top 100 Egyptian films. Synopsis When Mona marries the seemingly decent police officer Hisham, she finds out there is more into him than what he shows to the people. Mohamed Khan
Mohamed Hamed Hassan Khan ( ar, محمد حامد حسن خان ; 26 October 1942 – 26 July 2016) was an Egyptian film director, screenwriter, and actor. He was a pivotal member of the "1980s generation" in Egyptian cinema, along with directors such as Khairy Beshara, Daoud Abd El-Sayed, Atef El-Tayeb, and Yousry Nasrallah. His main aesthetic credo, in line with directors from his generation, was a reinvigorated realism seeking direct documentation of everyday life in Cairo, beyond the walls of the studio. Hassan Hosny
Hassan Hosny ( ar, حسن حسني) (June 19, 1931 – May 30, 2020) was an Egyptian actor and comedian. He was known for El Nazer ("The headmaster") (2000), El basha telmiz (2004) and Zaky Chan (2005). Widely regarded as a veteran of Egyptian cinema, his acting career spanned over 50 years and included performances in almost 500 films, television programs and theatre plays. He has been referred to as the Joker of Egyptian cinema. Biography Hassan Hosny was born in the citadel district of Cairo on June 19, 1936. Top 100 Egyptian films aliases: CIFF 100 Egyptian films or Greatest 100 Egyptian films in 20th century or Top 100 films in the centenary of Egyptian cinema (Egyptian Arabic: قائمة أفضل مئة فيلم في مئوية السينما المصرية) is the result of a referendum in which many Egyptian critics participated in 1996 to choose the 100 best Egyptian films of the 20th century, as part of the activities of the Cairo International Film Festival in its 20th edition, on the occasion of the centenary of Egyptian cinema, which coincides with the first film screening in Egypt in 1896.
