The Who Tour 2012–2013
The Who Tour 2012–2013 was their third to feature the 1973 album ''Quadrophenia''. Billed as "Quadrophenia and More", the band played ''Quadrophenia'' in its entirety, followed by a selection of their greatest hits. Before starting the tour, the group gave a special performance at the closing ceremonies of the 2012 Summer Olympics. History The band gave their first performance since a January 2011 charity appearance during the closing ceremonies for the 2012 Summer Olympics on 12 August, performing a short medley comprising "Baba O'Riley", "See Me, Feel Me" and "My Generation". The Who
The Who are an English rock band formed in London in 1964. Their classic lineup consisted of lead singer Roger Daltrey, guitarist and singer Pete Townshend, bass guitarist and singer John Entwistle, and drummer Keith Moon. They are considered one of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century, and have sold over 100 million records worldwide. The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden is a theater located in New York City's Madison Square Garden. ''12-12-12: The Concert for Sandy Relief'' was a benefit concert that took place at Madison Square Garden in New York City on December 12, 2012. The concert was held in response to Hurricane Sandy, which devastated portions of the Northeastern United States, the Caribbean and the Mid-Atlantic in late October 2012 and cost an estimated $60 billion in damage in the United States. The concert was broadcast live via television, radio, movie theaters and the Internet, and released on DVD and CD. A documentary film was also made about the concert. Proceeds from the event were collected by the Robin Hood Relief Fund to benefit victims of the hurricane in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Scott Devours (born December 15, 1966) is an American drummer and songwriter based in New York City. Devours has played drums for the post-grunge bands Oleander, IMA Robot and Long Beach bands like Speaker and Shave, worked on over thirty albums and toured with a number of well-known artists, including The Who. Christopher Robert "Chris" Stainton (born 22 March 1944) is an English session musician, keyboard player, bassist and songwriter, who first gained recognition with Joe Cocker in the late 1960s. John Douglas "Rabbit" Bundrick (born November 21, 1948 in Houston, Texas) is an American–English rock keyboardist.
