''The Violent Professionals'' (Italian: ''Milano trema: la polizia vuole giustizia'') is a 1973 Italian Poliziotteschi gangster film directed by Sergio Martino. The film stars Luc Merenda (Giorgio Caneparo) who goes undercover as a getaway driver for the mob so he can wage a one-man war on crime to avenge the death of father-figure cop Gianni (Silvano Tranquilli). Sergio Martino
Sergio Martino (born 19 July 1938) is an Italian film director and producer, notable for his contributions to the giallo genre. Martino is the brother of the late producer Luciano Martino (who died in 2013). They collaborated frequently in their respective professions. Their grandfather was director Gennaro Righelli. Sergio Martino worked for both the big screen as well as for Italian television where he does most of his current work. He often worked with actress Edwige Fenech who in the 1970s was married to his brother Luciano. He also worked with many genre actors such as George Hilton (actor), George Hilton (who was married to Sergio's cousin), Anita Strindberg, Ivan Rassimov and Claudio Cassinelli, as well as famed Italian screenwriter Ernesto Gastaldi. Lia Tanzi (born 3 November 1948) is an Italian actress and television personality. Life and career Born in Buenos Aires to Italian parents, Tanzi moved to Parma at young age. She studied acting at the Drama School of the Piccolo Teatro in Milan where she met her future husband, the actor Giuseppe Pambieri. She is mainly active on stage, often together with Pambieri and with their daughter, Micol. Tanzi is also active in TV-series and films, mainly of comedic genre. Poliziotteschi (; singular ''poliziottesco'') constitute a subgenre of crime and action films that emerged in Italy in the late 1960s and reached the height of their popularity in the 1970s. They are also known as ''polizieschi all'italiana'', ''Euro-crime'', ''Italo-crime'', ''spaghetti crime films'', or simply ''Italian crime films''. Influenced by both 1970s French crime films and gritty 1960s and 1970s American cop films and vigilante films, poliziotteschi films were made amidst an atmosphere of socio-political turmoil in Italy known as Years of Lead and increasing Italian crime rates. Deadly Drifter
''Out'' (also known as ''Deadly Drifter'') is a 1982 satirical drama film directed by Eli Hollander. The film is based on Ronald Sukenick's 1973 novel ''Out''. It stars Peter Coyote, O-Lan Jones, and Danny Glover.
