The Trigger (band)
The Trigger is a Serbian hard rock/ heavy metal band from Belgrade. History The band was formed in 2005 by guitarist and songwriter Dušan Svilokos Đurić, female vocalist Milena Branković, and bass guitarist Petar "Pera" Popović. Keyboardist Marko Antonić, and drummer Zoran Jović "Đavo" were soon added to their ranks and the five-piece band started working on songs for their debut album, entering the studio in 2006. The band was performing and releasing albums for their domestic market under the name "Trigger", until they added "The" to their name in 2019, for legal reasons, as their first album in English for the international market was about to be released. The band's debut album '' Ljubav'' (''Love'') was released in December 2007 through PGP-RTS. ''Ljubav'' was imagined as a concept album, featuring lyrics dealing with dark sides of love. Petar I Zli Vuci
Petar i Zli Vuci ( sr-cyr, Петар и Зли Вуци; trans. ''Peter and the Wolf Pack'') were a former Yugoslav new wave/ska band from Belgrade, notable as the participant of the '' Artistička radna akcija'' project. History During the early 1980s, former Hipnotisano Pile vocalist Bojan Banović together with a former Električni Orgazam guitarist Goran Sinadinović founded the band called Petar i Zli Vuci. The idea for the name came from Sinadinović and was inspired by the band-names from the 1960s. Soon after, vocalists Saša Lukić and Milan Popović, guitarist Vojin Jovanović "Voja", bassist Siniša Nojković and drummer Relja Obrenović joined the band. Most of the band members were high school friends from the Eleventh Belgrade High School. The band got the public's attention by numerous club performances in Belgrade and Zagreb. Bulevar (band)
Bulevar ( sr-cyr, Булевар; trans. ''Boulevard'') were a Serbian and former Yugoslav new wave band from Belgrade. History Band formation The band history dates from the days of the group Tilt consisting of young highschool attendants Dejan Cukić (a former Dizel member, vocals), Nenad Stamatović (guitar), Dušan Bezuha (guitar), Miroslav Cvetković (bass) and drummers at different times, Vlada Golubović and Predrag Jakovljević. The band sometimes also performed with rock veteran Branko Marušić "Čutura" (guitar, vocals). Following the departures of Bezuha, Golubović, who went to Suncokret, and Cvetković, who went to Pop Mašina, the band ceased to exist. Stamatović, who was in the band Zebra, along with Cukić, Jakovljević and Suncokret bassist Branko Isaković, formed Bulevar in 1978. VIS Simboli are a fictional band from the Yugoslavian film '' Strangler vs. Strangler''. Fictional history The band was formed by Spiridon Kopicl (played by Srđan Šaper, at the time of the film recording member of the band Idoli, which was also known as VIS Idoli) and recorded only one song, "Bejbi, bejbi", inspired by the experience of Kopicl after seeing a television report on a victim of the Belgrade Strangler. Initially, the song only featured the lyrics "Bejbi, bejbi, hoću da te davim" ("Baby, baby, I want to strangle you") repeated for several times. However, encouraged by the previous experience with the Belgrade Strangler, Kopicl tried to live the role of the strangler, moving around Belgrade streets and eventually expanding the song lyrics. "Beogradski davitelj" became a nationwide hit and was broadcast on the popular music radio show host by Sofija Mačkić (Sonja Savić). Haustor
Haustor ( hr, Hallway or front door) was a Yugoslav rock band from Zagreb, SR Croatia, a member of the new wave movement, and an important act of the former Yugoslav rock scene. History The basis of the band was formed in 1977, when singer and occasional guitarist Darko Rundek met bassist Srđan Sacher. Two years later they formed Haustor, together with Ozren Štiglić (guitar) and Boris Leiner (drums), who also played in another prominent Yugoslav rock band Azra. During 1980 they added Zoran Vuletić (keyboard) and a brass section. The group was mostly influenced by Caribbean music. Haustor released its self-titled debut album in 1981. Azra
Azra was a Croatian and Yugoslav rock band that was one of the most popular acts of the Yugoslav new wave music of the 1980s. Azra was formed in 1977 by its frontman Branimir "Johnny" Štulić. The other two members of the original line-up were Mišo Hrnjak ( bass) and Boris Leiner (drums). The band is named after a verse "''Und der Sklave sprach: “Ich heiße Mohamet, ich bin aus Yemen, Und mein Stamm sind jene Asra, Welche sterben, wenn sie lieben.”''" (trans. Piloti ( sr-cyr, Пилоти, trans. ''The Pilots'') is a rock band from Belgrade. Formed in 1981, and initially immersed in the Yugoslav new wave scene, the band later moved towards mainstream pop rock, they came to prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s as one of the leading pop rock acts in former Yugoslavia. The band disbanded in 1997, only to be reformed in 2009 under the name Kiki Lesendrić & Piloti. New wave in Yugoslavia ( sr-Cyrl-Latn, Нови талас, Novi talas; hr, Novi val; sl, Novi val; mk, Нов бран) was the new wave music scene of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. As its counterparts, the British and the American new wave, from which the main influences came, the Yugoslav scene was also closely related to punk rock, ska, reggae, 2 Tone, power pop and mod revival. Some of its acts are also counted as belonging to the Yugoslav punk scene which already existed prior to new wave. Such artists were labeled as both punk rock and new wave (the term "new wave" was initially interchangeable with "punk"). Industrial Rock
Industrial rock is a fusion genre that fuses industrial music and rock music. It initially originated in the 1970s, and drew influence from early experimental and industrial acts such as Cromagnon, Throbbing Gristle, Einstürzende Neubauten and Chrome.
