The Third Key
''The Third Key'' (''Treći ključ'') is a 1983 Croatian film directed by Zoran Tadić, starring Božidar Alić and Vedrana Međimorec. A Kafkian horror film, indirectly touching on the topic of corruption, in showing the alienation and soullessness of modern agglomerations it resembles somewhat the film ''Someone's Watching Me!'' by John Carpenter. Plot Dunja and Zvonko are a young married couple who are moving into a newly built apartment in Novi Zagreb. Their relationship is burdened by a number of personal issues, such as Dunja being older than Zvonko and having other lovers before him, and Zvonko being prone to alcohol abuse. As Dunja is unemployed and Zvonko has old gambling debts, they are chronically struggling for money and their trust in each other seems to have been eroded. Although it transpires that the apartment was not acquired in an entirely legal way, the two are hopeful about a new start. Zoran Tadić
Zoran Tadić (2 September 1941 – 9 September 2007) was a Croatian film director, critic, and pedagogue. Zoran Tadić is considered as one of the most important Croatian film directors, having directed more than twenty films from 1969 to 1997. He studied comparative literature and philosophy in Zagreb. He began his career as a critic and publicist in 1961, and then as an assistant, assistant director and co-writer. Tadić is best known for '' Rhythm of a Crime'' (1981), a science-fiction thriller based on a short story by Pavao Pavličić. Božidarka Frajt
Božidarka Frajt (also spelled Frait; born 11 November 1940) is a Croatian actress. In her six decade long career, she has composed a prolific repertoire in Croatian television, film and theatre, but is best known for her role in cinéma vérité-style 1972 film '' The Living Truth'', which earned her critical praise and a Golden Arena Award for Best Actress. In 2010, Frajt was awarded the Vladimir Nazor Award for lifetime achievement. Early life Božidarka Frajt was born Božidarka Grublješić on 11 November 1940. Born to an ethnic Bosnian Serb family, her exact birthplace is unknown due to the scarce information of her childhood. Nenad Polimac (born 1949) is a Croatian film critic. Polimac was born in Zagreb. His earliest published writings on film date from 1972. He was a co-founder of the Zagreb-based ''Film'' magazine where he served as an editor from 1975 to 1979. From 1978 to 1984 Polimac was a member of the film editorial board of Radiotelevision Zagreb. Since 1990, Polimac worked as an editor and film critic in ''Globus'' and ''Nacional'' weeklies. Jurica Pavičić (born 2 November 1965 in Split) is a Croatian writer, columnist and film critic. The breakup of Yugoslavia occurred as a result of a series of political upheavals and conflicts during the early 1990s. After a period of political and economic crisis in the 1980s, constituent republics of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia split apart, but the unresolved issues caused bitter inter-ethnic Yugoslav wars. Zvonimir Berković
Zvonimir Berković (1 August 1928 – 9 June 2009) was a Croatian film director and screenwriter. Berković had studied film directing at the Zagreb Academy of Drama Arts. His screenwriting career began in the mid-1950s, his most notable work being Nikola Tanhofer's 1958 film '' H-8'', for which he co-authored the screenplay with Tomislav Butorac. He had his directing debut with the 1962 documentary short ''My Flat'' (''Moj stan''), which offered an ironic portrayal of living standards in the socialist-style prefabricated housing projects. The film earned him a Special Jury Prize at the 1963 Cannes Film Festival.
