The TRACK At New Balance
The TRACK at New Balance is a 455,000 square foot facility housing a track and field stadium located near Boston Landing station in Boston, Massachusetts. Construction began in April 2019 and the facility opened in 2022. The facility was designed by architecture firm Elkus Manfredi and was a finalist for the 2023 World Architecture News Awards in the leisure category. The facility includes a 200 meter hydraulically-banked track and allows space for 5,000 spectators. There's also 24,000 square feet dedicated athletes warming-up, a separate live music entertainment venue for up to 3,500 people, and a 20,000 square foot sports research lab. The track can also be converted to space for basketball and volleyball courts as well as turf fields. The 4 × 800 metres relay is an athletics track event in which teams consist of four runners who each complete 800 metres or 2 laps on a standard 400 metre track. The IAAF ratifies world records in the event and it became a world championship event in 2014 as part of the IAAF World Relays. 60 Metres
60 metres, or 60-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field. It is a championship event for indoor championships, normally dominated by the best outdoor 100 metres runners. At outdoor venues it is a rare distance, at least for senior athletes. The format of the event is similar to other sprint distances. The sprinters follow three initial instructions: 'ready', instructing them to take up position in the starting blocks; 'set', instructing them to adopt a more efficient starting posture, which also isometrically preloads their muscles. This will enable them to start faster. The final instruction is the firing of the starter's pistol. Upon hearing this the sprinters stride forwards from the blocks. Issamade Asinga (born 29 December 2004) is a Surinamese track and field sprinter who competes in the 100 and 200 meters. His 100m personal best of 9.89 seconds was the world under-20 record and the Surinamese national record, but was later stripped for doping. Early years Asinga was born in Atlanta, U.S., and grew up in Zambia, where his mother Ngozi Mwanamwambwa was born.
