The Sugar Mix Album
''The Sugar Mix Album'' is the second remix album by Spain, Spanish duo Azúcar Moreno, released on Sony Music Entertainment, CBS-Epic Records, Epic in late 1990. Following the duo's international breakthrough in 1990 with the Eurovision Song Contest entry "Bandido" and the album with the Bandido (Azúcar Moreno album), same title they released their second remix collection including the 12" versions of the singles "A Caballo", "Bandido", "Oye Como Va" / "Guajira" and "Ven Devórame Otra Vez". Just like the preceding ''Mix In Spain'' the album juxtaposed the Salazár sisters' typical flamenco vocal style against contemporary dance arrangements which drew heavily on influences from genres like house music, acid house, hip hop, R&B and Rap music, rap. The Puerto Rico Mix of "Oye Como Va" / "Guajira" was the duo's first collaboration with acknowledged American remix producer Pablo Flores, best known for his work with Gloria Estefan. Azúcar Moreno
Azúcar Moreno (; Spanish language, Spanish for "brown sugar") is a Spanish music duo composed of sisters Antonia "Toñi" and Encarnación "Encarna" Salazar. The duo has sold more than 3 million albums and singles since 1984 domestically, and became famous in Europe, the United States and Latin America in the 1990s, with approximately 12 million albums sold worldwide. ''Azúcar'' is an album by the Cuban band Los Van Van. It was released in the United States in 1994, the band's first album in eight years to be widely distributed. Due to the U.S. embargo, the band did not tour behind the album until 1996. Production The album was recorded in 1992. Los Van Van constituted 15 members, including three trombonists and three violinists. Piano player César Pedroso contributed to the songwriting. ''Carne De Melocotón'' is the third studio album by Spanish duo Azúcar Moreno, their debut for the CBS-Epic label. The album, whose title translates as ''Peach Flesh'', was released in 1988 and saw the Salazár sisters embracing influences from contemporary pop, rock and dance music and arrangements with prominent use of synthesizers and drum machines, combined with a new bolder and sexier image. The lead single was "Aunque Me Falte El Aire" which also was their debut single on the UK market, then released under the title "Breathless". It was however a house music remix of the follow-up "Debajo Del Olivo" ("Under The Olive Tree") which became their breakthrough in Spain, and the track also became an underground club hit in Continental Europe and Scandinavia in early 1989.
