The Space Sheriff Spirits
, is an action game for the PlayStation 2. This game is based on the popular Japanese live-action TV series ''Space Sheriff'' trilogy produced by Toei Company. The three seasons were directed by Hattori Kazuyasu and Yoshiaki Kobayashi, and were named , and . This series helped the Metal Heroes genre to grow popular in Japan in the '80s. The ''Space Sheriff'' trilogy was quickly exported in European countries, such as France since 1982 (the series was renamed X-OR), Asia (including Indonesia, Malaysia and most notably Philippines) and Latin America (Brazil). The game was simultaneously released on May 25, 2006 in Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Weekly Famitsu rated it 21/40. Kenji Ohba and Hiroshi Watari reprised their roles as Gavan and Sharivan, respectively. Takuo Kawamura took over as the voice of Shaider, as Hiroshi Tsuburaya died in 2001. Popy (ポピー) was a Japanese toy manufacturer of the 1970s and early 1980s. The company was owned by Bandai. It was founded in 1971 and merged back into the parent company in 1983. The company is best known for its groundbreaking Chogokin robot figures. Hiroshi Tsuburaya
was a Japanese actor. The grandchild of Eiji Tsuburaya, who was also the first creator of the Ultraman Series, and the third son of Hajime Tsuburaya who became the second creator of the Ultraman Series after Eiji Tsuburaya's death on January 25, 1970. He was born in Setagaya, Tokyo. He became known to ''tokusatsu'' series audiences for playing the leading role in ''Uchuu Keiji Shaider'' (''Space Sheriff Shaider'') as Dai Sawamura/Shaider. is a Japanese singer, voice actor, and actor. His birth name is Hiroshi Watanabe. His wife is voice actress .
