The Sound Lounge
''The Sound Lounge'' was a Canadian radio show, which aired from 2007 to 2008 on CTVglobemedia's hot adult contemporary-formatted radio stations in Halifax Regional Municipality, Halifax, Toronto, Brockville, Ontario, Brockville, Peterborough, Ontario, Peterborough, Kingston, Ontario, Kingston, Winnipeg, Calgary and Victoria, British Columbia, Victoria. The show handed over control of the content to the user's hands by an all listener chosen playlist, listener generated remixes and mash ups, and the opportunity to interact with listeners coast to coast via e-mail, text messaging and voice. It aired weekday evenings from the studios of CHUM-FM in Toronto. Originally hosted by Cory Kimm, the show debuted on February 5, 2007. Bell Media Inc. ( French: ) is a Canadian company formed by the amalgamation of several companies. Establishment (2011–13) On December 9, 2011, the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan announced the sale of its majority stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment to BCE and its rival, Rogers Communications, in a deal valued at around $1.32 billion. Additionally, Larry Tanenbaum increased his stake in the company to 25%. The deal closed in August 2012. Cory Kimm
Cory Kimm (born May 1, 1974) is a Canadian radio personality originally from Edmonton, Alberta. Currently he hosts the Cory Kimm show on Up! 99.3 in Edmonton. Previously he has worked for CHFI-FM in Toronto, Ontario. He co-hosted The Cory Kimm and Ami A Show on Z103.5FM in Toronto, and before that on Rawlco Radio's 102.3 NOW! Radio in Edmonton. Having previously worked at a radio station in Vernon, British Columbia, he moved to KISS 92 in Toronto after that station's change from country to pop music in 1999. Later, he moved to CHUM-FM, where he hosted the ''CHUM Chart'', among other duties. In 2007 he also became host of ''The Sound Lounge'', which aired on many stations across Canada.
