Luis Vasquez is an American singer-songwriter, musician, and producer credited for creating The Soft Moon in Oakland, California, The Soft Moon has been described as post-punk, darkwave, minimal wave and industrial rock. History The band was founded by Vasquez as a solo project in 2009. He released two singles, "Breathe the Fire" followed by "Parallels", while working on his debut ''Self Titled'' LP. Prior to its release, Vasquez directed his energy into building a band around his project with the aim of delivering a full sensory experience within the context of live performance. ''The Soft Moon'' is the debut studio album by American post-punk band the Soft Moon. It was released on November 16, 2010 by Captured Tracks. The album was recorded over the span of a year in frontman Luis Vasquez's apartment. Writing, composition, recording, production and album art are credited to Vasquez. Mogwai () are a Scottish post-rock band, formed in 1995 in Glasgow. John Foxx (born Dennis Leigh; 26 September 1948) is an English singer, musician, artist, photographer, graphic designer, writer, teacher and lecturer. He was the original lead singer of the new wave band Ultravox, before leaving to embark on a solo career in 1980 with the album ''Metamatic''.
