''Craig Doyle '' was an Irish weekly topical comedy-style chat show which aired from November 2011 as ''The Social'' until 2012, then continued until 2013, and was shown on RTÉ Two. Portrayed as live programme, some episodes were recorded in advance and broadcast at a later date. Format as ''The Social'' The show was presented by Craig Doyle with guests discussing latest topical news interspersed with news on the latest events on social media such as Twitter and Facebook. It was Doyle's second attempt at a chat show with RTÉ, following 2010's ill-fated Saturday night effort ''Tonight with Craig Doyle''. "No topic is out of bounds" was the billing before the first episode was broadcast. Craig Doyle
Craig Doyle (born 17 December 1970, Dublin) is an Irish television and radio presenter. To British viewers he is recognisable as working for the BBC and ITV and more recently BT Sport. Irish viewers also know him as the host of RTÉ One chat show ''Tonight with Craig Doyle'' and RTÉ Two's'' Craig Doyle Live''. He is the main anchor on BT Sport Premiership, European Champions Cup rugby coverage and MotoGP motorcycle racing. Craig has also been a presenter on ITV's Rugby World Cup coverage. Early life Doyle grew up in the Dublin suburb of Stillorgan. Educated in Blackrock College. ''Tonight with Craig Doyle'' is a talk show hosted by Craig Doyle that was broadcast on RTÉ One for one series in 2010. The show featured guest interviews, audience participation and live music. ''Tonight with Craig Doyle'' was broadcast every Saturday night during the spring season directly after the main evening news. History Replacing ''Tubridy Tonight'' Following Pat Kenny's stepping down as host of ''The Late Late Show'' in 2009, RTÉ announced that Ryan Tubridy, host of his own Saturday night chat show, would be Kenny's replacement. Totò Schillaci
Salvatore Schillaci (; born 1 December 1964), commonly referred to by his nickname Totò, is an Italian former professional footballer, who played as a striker. During his club career, he played for Messina (1982–1989), Juventus (1989–1992), Internazionale (1992–1994) and Júbilo Iwata (1994–1997). At the international level he was the surprise star of the 1990 FIFA World Cup, as he helped Italy to a third-place finish on home soil. ''The Afternoon Show'' is Raidió Teilifís Éireann's former live flagship daytime show. It ran from 2004 until May 2010. The programme was dropped by RTÉ as part of its new season of television in 2010, to be replaced by two afternoon programmes '' Four Live'' presented by Maura Derrane and ''The Daily Show'' hosted by Dáithí Ó Sé and Claire Byrne.
