The Sleeping Giant is the third studio album by Namibian rapper Sunny Boy. It was released on Sunny's new label Yaziza Entertainment in December 2008. The album features production from Namibia's top producers such as Elvo, The Dogg, Kboz, Morgan, and B-Phill. It features appearance from Qonja, Jericho, Hedek, Tre VDK, Nasti, Jossy Joss, TeQuila, Lady May, Luvy, Vanessa, Lokos, and Chipoloplo. Reception The album was well received by fans and critics alike, critically acclaimed and considered to be a classic. It reminds listeners to his first hits like "Balance" and "Serious". Every track on the album is driven by smooth social lyrics, story telling poets, love and sympathetic lyrics. Sunny accompany every track with a raw flow. Lady May (born Martha Namundjebo, 20 December 1986) is a Namibian singer. She came to fame in 2004 with the release of her first album ''Kamali'' which won her her first award at the Sanlam-NBC Music Awards. Namundjebo is one of the most popular female singers in Namibia. Her music is also recognized beyond the Namibian border and she has been nominated and won several awards at the Channel O Music Video Awards. Tretius Kauhangengo (born 1981), better known as Tre Van Die Kasie, most commonly referred to as Tre is a Namibian kwaito musician and rapper. Tre rose to fame after signing with Mshasho Productions in 2005. He is the half brother of fellow kwaito musician, Kavax. Ras Sheehama
Ras Sheehama (born in 1966 in northern Namibia) is a Namibian reggae musician. The political pro-SWAPO stance of his father David Sheehama, forced him into exile in 1979 to Angola and Zambia. There he started to develop his love for the reggae-music and begin to play guitar. In Zambia for the first time he got in contact with the Rastafari and Reggae culture. During the time at a high school in Lagos, Nigeria between 84 and 88 he played in several Reggae bands. When he returned home in 1990 to witness the first free elections in his home country, he brought huge experiences to Namibia.
