The Silver Train of Stockholm (), also known as the the Silver Arrow (), is an urban legend about a silver colored ghost train that traffics the Stockholm Metro. The legend is one of several surrounding the Stockholm Metro involving ghost phenomena. The modern railway network, which was inaugurated in 1950, has racked up several mythical urban legends over the years, especially of the horror genre, of which the silver train is the most famous. According to ethnologist Bengt af Klintberg, there is a legend where the train must have had some kind of curse on the living, as those who got on the train could not get off. ''The Silver Arrow'' (Swedish: "''Silverpilen''") is the nickname of a Stockholm Metro train which features in several urban legends alleging sightings of the train's ghost. It was a prototype train produced in one example of 8 cars and was never painted, instead keeping its aluminium " silver" finish. Stockholm Metro
The Stockholm metro ( sv, Stockholms tunnelbana) is a rapid transit system in Stockholm, Sweden. The first line opened in 1950, and today the system has 100 stations in use, of which 47 are underground and 53 above ground. There are three coloured lines, as shown on the tube maps, which form seven numbered routes with different termini. Routes numbered 17, 18 and 19 (green line), 13 and 14 (red line) and 10 and 11 (blue line) all go through the centre of the city, resulting in a very centralized system. T-Centralen (Swedish for "The T-Central"; T being an abbreviation for "tunnelbana", the Swedish word for "underground" or "subway") is a metro station that forms the heart of the Stockholm metro system, in the sense that it is the only station where all three of the system's lines meet. Kymlinge () is an area of Sundbyberg Municipality, Stockholm County, Sweden. It is mostly a recreational park, part of which is a nature reserve (Igelbäcken). History The area has been inhabited since the Iron Age. The name is known since 1347, then as ''Kymmelinghe''. Until the beginning of the 20th century, the area was still used as a farm. Since the farm was abandoned, the area has been kept as a park. In the 1970s there were plans to develop the area as a suburb, mainly to accommodate government agencies, state-owned enterprises and other offices moving out from central Stockholm (they needed larger offices).
