The Self-Titled Album
''The Self-Titled Album'' is an album by Appleton, Wisconsin-based rock group Tenement. It was co-released in July 2016 by Forward Records and Deranged Records, following the release of a cassette version that the band wrote and recorded in the span of a week ahead of an East Coast tour in 2015. Reception The New York Times: "It doesn’t have the same power as a self-contained document of the double album, but it satisfies the urge to hear more of Mr. Pitsch’s rough perfectionism." Sorry State Records: "The Self-Titled Album also feels kind of disorienting, but with a considerably shorter running length it at least gives off the surface impression of being more digestible. If you never liked Tenement before, I doubt that The Self-Titled Album is going to be the record that flips you since the rather slick production and Amos's distinctive singing style style still fly in the face of punk's cult of lo-fi. However, if you're a Tenement fan (particularly of their post-Napalm Drea ...

In 2015, Tenement was included in '' Spin'' 's "The 50 Best Rock Bands Right Now". In 2016, they were included in ''Rolling Stone'' 's "10 Great Modern Punk Bands". Predatory Headlights
''Predatory Headlights'' is a double album by Appleton, Wisconsin-based rock group Tenement. It was released in June 2015 by New York-based record label Don Giovanni Records. Perhaps due to its length and frequent genre cross-over, it was initially ignored by many established music publications but eventually ended up on ''Rolling Stone's'' "15 Great Albums You Didn't Hear In 2015" list and '' Spin'' magazine's "2015 Overlooked Albums Report". According to ''The New Yorker'', the album "Highlights the strongest aspects of the group's songwriting". It was ranked #100 by ''The Village Voice'' on their 2015 Pazz & Jop critics poll. The album's lyrical themes were largely influenced by Amos Pitsch's observations, musings, and experiences as he traversed America in the summer of 2012, playing drums for a reunion tour of 1970s power pop group, The Nerves. The song lyrics and accompanying album art draw on prominent motifs of Americana in an effort to reflect the darker aspects of Ameri ...

Formerly distributed in print form each week on Thursdays, the final print version of the alternative-weekly newspaper was published on July 3, 2019. In 2015, the ''Dispatch'' was acquired by New Media Investment Group, which later became Gannett. On May 31, 2022 it waannouncedthat the final edition will be published on June 3, 2022. Before the paper was sold, the publisher was Sally Crane (of the Crane Plastics family). Tenement (band) Albums
A tenement is a type of building shared by multiple dwellings, typically with flats or apartments on each floor and with shared entrance stairway access. They are common on the British Isles, particularly in Scotland. In the medieval Old Town, in Edinburgh, tenements were developed with each apartment treated as a separate house, built on top of each other (such as Gladstone's Land). Over hundreds of years, custom grew to become law concerning maintenance and repairs, as first formally discussed in Stair's 1681 writings on Scots property law. In Scotland, these are now governed by the Tenements Act, which replaced the old Law of the Tenement and created a new system of common ownership and procedures concerning repairs and maintenance of tenements. Tenements with one or two room flats provided popular rented accommodation for workers, but in some inner-city areas, overcrowding and maintenance problems led to shanty towns, which have been cleared and redeveloped. In more affluent ...
