''The Ruby'' is the sixth extended play by South Korean girl group April. It was released on October 16, 2018, by DSP Media. The EP was supported by the "retro" lead single "Oh! My Mistake". ''The Ruby'' debuted and peaked at number 10 on the Gaon Album Chart. Background and release DSP Media announced the band's comeback for October 16, 2018 on October 4. Being in black and white, Osen noted that the promotional poster differed from April's previous imagery as it lacked any primary colors, and noted that the band had evolved and matured with each release, "adding a variety of changes to every album". April () was a South Korean girl group formed by DSP Media. The group debuted on August 24, 2015, with their EP '' Dreaming'' and its title track "Dream Candy". The group's final lineup was composed of six members: Chaekyung, Chaewon, Naeun, Yena, Rachel and Jinsol. The group officially disbanded on January 28, 2022. Name The group name is made up of 'A' and 'pril'. 'A' means 'the best girl group' and 'pril' means lovely girls. As combined, 'April' makes the meaning of 'the best, lovely girls'. Also known as 'Sa-wori' (사월이, April), 'Apple' (에플, pun of April) or 'Pril-e' (프릴이, pun of pril). After their debut, fans started calling them 'Chung-jeong-dol' (청정돌, pure idol). The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Founded in 2010. It provides rankings on a weekly, monthly, and yearly basis, which is based on an aggregate of streaming, downloads and background music from major South Korean music platforms. ''Da Capo'' is the seventh and final extended play by South Korean girl group April and their first one since 2018's '' The Ruby''. It was released on April 22, 2020, by DSP Media and distributed by Kakao M. The EP features six tracks, including the lead single "Lalalilala" and the previously released CD-only track "Matter of Time", which is a duet between members Naeun and Jinsol. The physical album is available in two versions: "Glitter" and "Suit", making it the group's first release with more than one version. The EP marks the group's second to last release prior to their disbandment on January 28, 2022.
