It was released as a single performed by Denver on April 12, 1971, peaking at number two ...'' series, was featured in this mid-season replacement of ''The Tommy Hunter Show''. Series regulars included The Dave Woods Brass, vocal trio The Peaches and actor Heath Lamberts. Bob Farrar was the series musical director. Ronnie Prophet
Ronald Lawrence Victor Prophet (26 December 1937 – 2 March 2018) was a Canadian-American country musician and comedy performer. He was born in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada. In his childhood, Prophet lived in Calumet, Quebec, and began performing at local venues in his youth. His successful musical career in the United States began in the mid-1960s. Prophet also performed in numerous Canadian television productions in the 1970s including '' Grand Old Country'' and '' The Ronnie Prophet Show''. From 1997, he was based in Branson, Missouri, United States, and was married to musician Glory-Anne Carriere. Prophet died on 2 March 2018 at his home in Tavares, Florida, following cardiac and kidney failure. He was 80. Comedy characters included puppets Harold the Frog and Yackie Duck which were created by John and Alison Vandergun and voiced by Prophet. The rural newspaper publisher, Granny Slanders, was portrayed by comedian Gwen Neighbour. Heath Lamberts, (December 15, 1941 – February 22, 2005) was a Canadian actor.Robert Crew, "Lamberts, 63, stage's mirth master". ''Toronto Star'', February 23, 2005. He was born James Lancaster in Toronto, Ontario, where, as a boy, he won singing contests at school, allowing him to perform with Toronto's Opera Festival Association. He pursued the arts as a career, changing his name to Heath Lamberts, and in 1963 graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. He worked extensively in theatres across Canada, especially at the Shaw Festival and the Stratford Festival. He also studied mime in Paris, France, at Le Coq d'Or. On Broadway his longest role was in the original cast of ''Beauty and the Beast'' on Broadway as Cogsworth. He had roles in dozens of television movies and shows and played numerous roles in Pittsburgh theatre.
