Easter Rising
The Easter Rising ( ga, Éirí Amach na Cásca), also known as the Easter Rebellion, was an armed insurrection in Ireland during Easter Week in April 1916. The Rising was launched by Irish republicans against British rule in Ireland with the aim of establishing an independent Irish Republic while the United Kingdom was fighting the First World War. It was the most significant uprising in Ireland since the rebellion of 1798 and the first armed conflict of the Irish revolutionary period. Sixteen of the Rising's leaders were executed from May 1916. The nature of the executions, and subsequent political developments, ultimately contributed to an increase in popular support for Irish independence. Brian Keene (born September 22, 1967) is an American author and podcaster, primarily known for his work in horror, dark fantasy, crime fiction, and comic books. He has won the 2014 World Horror Grandmaster Award and two Bram Stoker Awards. In addition to his own original work, Keene has written for media properties such as ''Doctor Who'', ''Hellboy'', ''Alien'', ''Masters of the Universe'', and ''The X-Files''. Early life Keene was born in 1967. He grew up in both Pennsylvania and West Virginia, and many of his books take place in these locales. "The Rising" is the first episode of the first season of the 2016 reboot of ''MacGyver''. It aired on September 23, 2016. The story for the episode was written by Peter M. Colin Broderick is a writer and filmmaker. Raised in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, Broderick moved to New York City in 1988 when he was 20. Tigerstyle is a Scottish folkhop group from Glasgow with a British Punjabi background. Michael Johns (singer)
Michael Johns (born Michael John Lee; 20 October 1978 – 1 August 2014) was an Australian singer who finished in eighth place on the seventh season of ''American Idol'', in 2008. In 2009, he released a music album, ''Hold Back My Heart,'' which sold 20,000 copies. Johns died on August 1, 2014, at the age of 35 of dilated cardiomyopathy. Early life John Lee was born in Perth, Western Australia on 20 October 1978. As a teenager, he appeared as The Coachman in ''Pinocchio'' at the Regal Theatre and was a choir singer in ''Anything Goes'' at His Majesty's Theatre. He attended Newman College in Perth.
