Sitcom
A sitcom, a portmanteau of situation comedy, or situational comedy, is a genre of comedy centered on a fixed set of characters who mostly carry over from episode to episode. Sitcoms can be contrasted with sketch comedy, where a troupe may use new characters in each sketch, and stand-up comedy, where a comedian tells jokes and stories to an audience. Sitcoms originated in radio, but today are found mostly on television as one of its dominant narrative forms. Serge Constantine Lazareff (7 August 1944 - 20 August 2021) was an Australian actor and screenwriter/editor, who was born in Shanghai, China. He appeared in 54 roles from the late 1960s until 1999, before starting a second career as a writer for TV series. Acting Lazareff performed in many Australian television series from the late 1960s to the late 1990s and made numerous appearances in Crawford Productions police shows including ''The Sullivans'', ''Homicide'', ''Division 4'', ''Matlock Police'' and '' Chopper Squad''. He had a featured part in the 1970 ABC-TV drama series ''Dynasty''. Julieanne Newbould
Julieanne Newbould (born 1957) is an Australian actress who first came to prominence in the 1970s. Newbould was 16 years old when she played Karen in the 1974 ABC telemovie ''Lindsay’s Boy''. She then worked in several television series for the Grundy Organisation, and in 1977 played a guest role in the soap opera, ''The Young Doctors'', and then became a popular original cast member of ''The Restless Years''. This series started in late 1977 and Newbould left in early 1979. She later played two roles in another Grundy series, ''Prisoner''. She appeared first in 1982 as Hannah Simpson and then 1986 as Wendy Glover. She was also a regular in the soap opera, '' E Street'', First Appeared on E-street in 1989 as a court lawyer then later on played Virginia Travis in 1991. Gordon Charles Glenwright (17 March 1918 – 25 May 1985) was an Australian actor, stage manager and playwright. He was familiar to audiences for his appearances on stage, television and film. He described himself as a "tradesman". Glenwright served as a lieutenant in the Australian Army during the Second World War. Glenwright subsequently started his career in theatre in the late 1940s, and starting in moving to television roles from the mid-1950s, he primarily appeared in serials and telemovies. Anthony Frederick Bonner (born 23 November 1943) is an Australian television, film and stage actor and singer. Bonner became famous in the 1960s children's television series '' Skippy the Bush Kangaroo'', later moving on to lead roles in the dramas ''Cop Shop'' and ''Skyways''. Early life Bonner was born in Manly, a northern beach suburb of Sydney. His grandfather, James Bonner, was a former Mayor of Manly and founding President of the Manly Life Saving Club. His father, Frederick Bonner, was a musical comedy actor at Her Majesty's Theatre, Sydney. Sydney Leicester Conabere (8 July 191815 July 2008) was an Australian actor. He was notable for his work in theatre, film and television drama in a career spanning more than fifty years.
