The Pot Carriers
''The Pot Carriers'' is a 1962 British comedy-drama film directed by Peter Graham Scott and produced by Gordon Scott for ABPC. It stars Ronald Fraser, Paul Massie, Carole Lesley and Dennis Price. The film is largely set in Wandsworth prison and is a remake of the ''ITV Play of the Week: The Pot Carriers'' (1960), which writer Mike Watts based on his own prison experiences. The film centres around a young prisoner called Rainbow as he struggles to adjust to his first stretch behind bars. Tom Chantrell
Thomas William Chantrell (20 December 1916 – 15 July 2001) was a British illustrator and cinema poster artist. Born the son of a circus performer in Manchester, England, he started work in advertising as an illustrator. During WWII he put his artistic skills to use designing propaganda posters for the war effort. After the war, he established a career in cinema advertising, and established his name designing posters for epic films such as '' The King and I (1956)'', '' One Million Years B.C.'' (1966) and '' Star Wars'' (1977), as well as Hammer horror films and ''Carry On'' comedy films. Neil McCarthy (actor)
Eugene Neil McCarthy (26th July 1932 – 5th February 1985) was an English actor known for his dramatic physical appearance caused by acromegaly. He was also a talented linguist and pianist. Windsor Davies
Windsor Davies (28 August 1930 – 17 January 2019) was a British actor. He is best remembered for playing Battery Sergeant Major Williams in the sitcom '' It Ain't Half Hot Mum'' (1974–1981) over its entire run. The show's popularity resulted in Davies and his co-star Don Estelle achieving a UK number one hit with a version of "Whispering Grass" in 1975. Clifford Earl
Clifford Earl (29 August 1933 – 30 July 2015) was an English actor who appeared in numerous television programmes and films. Richard Shaw (actor)
Richard Shaw (19 November 1920 – 11 April 2010) was an English actor remembered for appearing in the science fiction franchises '' Quatermass'' and '' Doctor Who'', as well as having a regular role as henchman Ryan in the children's series '' Freewheelers''. Shaw appeared in the 1959 TV serial of ''Quatermass and the Pit'' playing drill operator Sladden. He was asked to reprise the role in the 1967 film adaptation but was unable to do so due to other commitments. Duncan Lamont (from ''The Quatermass Experiment'') was therefore cast instead. Keith Faulkner (born 25 July 1936) is a British-born Australian actor. Early life Faulkner was born in Richmond, Surrey. He started his career at Corona Academy at the age of eleven and moved on to a career in film and television in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
