The Panel (Irish TV Series)
''The Panel'' is a talk show produced by Happy Endings Productions for RTÉ, based on the Australian programme '' The Panel'', produced by Working Dog Productions for Network Ten. The theme song was "Waterfall" by The Stone Roses. Until 2006 it was hosted by Dara Ó Briain. Ó Briain, having presented ''Echo Island'', came to popular acclaim at home through his regular appearances in '' Don't Feed the Gondolas'', a topical comedy show in the same Monday night slot on Network 2. Recorded at various locations around Dublin—including Belvedere College's O'Reilly Theatre, Dublin City University's Helix Theatre and Blanchardstown's Draíocht Theatre—its sudden apparent cancellation in December 2005 annoyed fans but ''The Panel'' returned with a largely unchanged format in October 2006. Happy Endings Productions is an Irish entertainment television production company, founded by Dara Ó Briain and Seamus Cassidy in 2003. Echo Island
''Echo Island'' is an Irish television programme for children and young adults, shown on RTÉ Network 2. It was shown at 17:00 during ''The Den'', after which programmes like ''The Legend of the Hidden City'' would air. The show effectively took over from ''Jo Maxi'', which had been aimed at the teenaged youth of Ireland. Birth ''Echo Island'' began broadcasting in 1994 with two episodes a week. This was extended to four episodes the following year with two of these being Irish language editions. The series ran for six seasons; in later years it proved a useful showcase for some of the best young rock bands in Ireland. Many of the presenters were chosen for their bilingualism, including Dara Ó Briain. ''The Herald'' is a nationwide mid-market tabloid newspaper headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, and published by Independent News & Media who are a subsidiary of Mediahuis. It is published Monday–Saturday. The newspaper was known as the ''Evening Herald'' until its name was changed in 2013. Mairead Ronan
Mairead Ronan (; born 3 April 1980) is an Irish television and radio presenter. Early life Ronan was born in Finglas on the Northside of Dublin. She attended a HR Management course after leaving school, but switched to a media course at Ballyfermot College of Further Education. Radio career Ronan was featured on ''The Ray D'Arcy Show'' that originally aired every weekday morning on Today FM.
