Dáithí Ó Sé
Dáithí Mícheál Ó Sé (; born 2 June 1976) is an Irish television presenter. He currently hosts RTÉ One's ''Today'', alongside Maura Derrane. He is also the current host of the Rose of Tralee and hosts a chat show on TG4 every Thursday night, ''Seal Le Dáithí''. His career has included stints as a teacher, butcher, bouncer, ferry driver around the Blasket Islands, ringmaster with Duffy's Circus, singing on ''Charity You're a Star'', surviving in remotest Connemara for ''Celebrities Go Wild'', ''Livin' with Lucy'', judging on ''The All Ireland Talent Show'', and one-off presenting gigs on the likes of '' The Panel'' and ''Winning Streak''. Feothanach
Feothanach or an Fheothanach (formerly anglicised as Feohanagh) is a small townland in the Corca Dhuibhne Gaeltacht, located north-west of Dingle on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. ''The Panel'' is a talk show produced by Happy Endings Productions for RTÉ, based on the Australian programme '' The Panel'', produced by Working Dog Productions for Network Ten. The theme song was "Waterfall" by The Stone Roses. Until 2006 it was hosted by Dara Ó Briain. Ó Briain, having presented ''Echo Island'', came to popular acclaim at home through his regular appearances in '' Don't Feed the Gondolas'', a topical comedy show in the same Monday night slot on Network 2. Maidhc Dainín Ó Sé
Maidhc Dainín Ó Sé (2 February 1942 – 29 August 2013) was an Irish-language writer and musician from the County Kerry Gaeltacht. He was the father of Dáithí Ó Sé. He was one of the best known Irish writers of his generation, noted for his autobiography ''A Thig Ná Tit Orm''. His writings were used as part of the Irish-language element of the Leaving Certificate in Irish state education, as a replacement for ''Peig'' from 1995. Biography Born in Carrachán, Baile na nGall, County Kerry in 1942, Maidhc Dainín was the son of a fisherman from Baile na nGall called Dainín Dan Ó Sé and his wife from an Daingean, Máire Ní Chinnéide. In 1958 at the age of 16, Maidhc moved to England for a while, before moving to Chicago, United States in 1959. He returned to Ireland in 1969.
