A..C..O (born February 3, 1977) is a Japanese singer. She made her debut in 1995 with the pop single . She is a part of Sony Music Japan. She explores different musical styles, with the albums ''Absolute Ego'' and ''Material'' displaying electronica influences. ''Absolute Ego'' was produced by ex-Denki Groove keyboardist, Yoshinori Sunahara and ''The Other Side of Absolute Ego'' album contains remixes by Tricky, DJ Krush, and Silent Poets. In 2003, after a two-year hiatus, she enlisted the help of the avant-garde audio-visual performance group ' for her quieter, more delicate album, ''Irony''. AllMusic described ''Irony'' as "one of the most beautiful albums to come out of Japan in 2003", with the music compared to an "airy lullaby". , better known by his stage name DJ Krush, is a record producer and DJ. He is known for his atmospheric instrumental production which incorporates sound elements from nature and extensive use of jazz and soul samples. Early life Ishi was born in Tokyo in 1962. He dropped out of school at an early age and joined a local gang and, a few years later, the yakuza. Early in his career as a yakuza underling, Ishi discovered a severed finger wrapped in paper on his desk. Later, after discovering that it had belonged to a friend, he decided to leave the yakuza and cut ties with the criminal underworld. Ishi was inspired to start DJing after seeing the film '' Wild Style'' in 1983. Alpha (band)
Alpha is an English post-trip hop group. It comprises founding member Corin Dingley, vocalist and lyricist Wendy Stubbs and Hannah Collins; other founding member, Andy Jenks, left the group before the release of their 2007 album, '' The Sky Is Mine''. Originally working under the name "Ariel", the duo of Dingley and Jenks came together in 1995 after both had worked on various projects in the Bristol area, home of trip hop groups Massive Attack and Portishead. Like Massive Attack, Alpha recruited singers to add vocals to their downtempo, beat-driven compositions of the late 1990s, which led to them being included in the category of "post trip hop".
