The Organ Thieves
Organ Thieves is a southern and soul-influenced experimental hard rock side project by Brown Brigade guitarists Chuck Coles and Dave Baksh, formed by Coles in mid-2008. It has since become their main project. History Formation and ''God's Favorite Sons'' (2008–2009) According to Dave Baksh the band "started when guitarist Chuck Coles was getting kind of antsy in Brown Brigade in that he wanted to write – he's a natural songwriter. Horseshoe Tavern
The Horseshoe Tavern (known as ''The Horseshoe'', ''The 'Shoe'', The 'Toronto Tavern' and The 'Triple T' to Toronto locals) is a concert venue at 370 Queen Street West (northeast corner of Queen at Spadina) in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and has been in operation since 1947. Treble Charger is a Canadian rock band formed in 1992 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Greig Nori, vocalist and guitarist Bill Priddle, bassist Rosie Martin and drummer Richard Mulligan. They began with a melodic indie rock style but evolved into more of a pop punk band after signing to a major label in 1997. They disbanded in 2006 and reunited in 2012. ''Somewhere Between Free Men and Slaves'' is the first full-length studio album by Canadian hard rock band Organ Thieves, released on April 24, 2012, through MapleMusic Recordings, through the Canada iTunes service, later followed by a physical CD release on May 8, 2012. Background The band recorded most of the album in 5 days, between October 2–October 7, 2010, at BTown Sound in Burlington, Ontario, with producer Greig Nori who has previously worked with Dave Baksh in Sum 41 and with Chuck Coles and Matt Worobec in Cauterize, with pre-production beginning in late 2009. Additional recording took place in Coalition Studio in May 2011. The band has said many times that they prefer to self-release the album, rather than release it through a label, though on November 21, 2011, it was announced that the band has signed with MapleMusic Recordings, who would release the album. ''Chuck'' is the third studio album by Canadian rock band Sum 41. The album was released on October 12, 2004. It is the band's last album to feature guitarist Dave Baksh as he left Sum 41 on May 11, 2006, to pursue his career with his own band Brown Brigade. This is the final album to feature the full classic lineup (Baksh, Deryck Whibley, Cone McCaslin and Steve Jocz). Baksh returned in 2015, but Frank Zummo replaced Jocz that same year. ''Chuck'' peaked at No. 2 on the Canadian Albums Chart and No. 10 on the US ''Billboard'' 200, making it the band's highest-charting album until it would be surpassed by ''Underclass Hero'' in 2007. Greig Nori
Greig Andrew Nori (born November 21, 1962) is a producer and musician from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, and is well known as the frontman, co-lead vocalist and guitarist of the pop punk band Treble Charger. In the late 1990s, he began working as a producer with Sum 41 and was their in-house producer and manager until 2004. In 2007, Greig went back to the studio to produce for the pop punk bands Cauterize and Hedley, for their albums ''Disguises'' and ''Famous Last Words'', respectively. Nori is one of the heads of Bunk Rock Music, a Canadian artist management company. He manages bands including Gob, Surplus Sons and The New Cities. He is currently signed as producer by Nettwerk. Misfits (band)
The Misfits are an American punk rock band often recognized as the pioneers of the horror punk subgenre, blending punk and other musical influences with horror film themes and imagery. The group was founded in 1977 in Lodi, New Jersey, by vocalist, songwriter and keyboardist Glenn Danzig, and drummer Manny Martínez. Jerry Only joined on bass guitar shortly after. Over the next six years, membership would change frequently with Danzig and Only remaining the two sole consistent members. The Clash
The Clash were an English rock band formed in London in 1976 who were key players in the original wave of British punk rock. Billed as "The Only Band That Matters", they also contributed to the and new wave movements that emerged in the wake of punk and employed elements of a variety of genres including reggae, dub, funk, ska, and rockabilly. For most of their recording career, the Clash consisted of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Joe Strummer, lead guitarist and vocalist Mick Jones, bassist Paul Simonon, and drummer Nicky "Topper" Headon. Headon left the group in 1982 due to internal friction surrounding his increasing heroin addiction. Further internal friction led to Jones' departure the following year.
