The No Limit Soldiers
The No Limit Soldiers were a stable in World Championship Wrestling that was formed after rapper Master P signed with the company. The Soldiers notably feuded with The West Texas Rednecks from June to July 1999. History The relationship between WCW and Master P was supposed to be a symbiotic one, with WCW gaining exposure with fans of hip hop music, and Master P getting his cousin Randy Thornton (Swoll) a break in the wrestling business in the United States, as his only prior in-ring experience was a brief stint in New Japan back in 1991. Although the No Limit Soldiers, named such after Master P's No Limit Records, were packaged as a face stable, complete with a rallying cry of "Hoody Hoo", they failed to connect with the mostly Southern WCW audience. Percy Robert Miller Sr. (born April 29, 1967), known by his stage name Master P, is an American rapper, record executive, record producer, actor, and entrepreneur. Curtis Michael Hennig (March 28, 1958 – February 10, 2003) was an American professional wrestler. ''WCW Thunder'', or simply ''Thunder'', is an American professional wrestling show that was produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) which aired on TBS from January 8, 1998 to March 21, 2001. The popularity of WCW in 1996 and 1997 allowed for the creation of a new show, which became ''WCW Thunder''. The Revolution was a professional wrestling villainous stable in World Championship Wrestling (WCW). History The Revolution was formed by Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko (leftovers from the last incarnation of the Four Horsemen), Perry Saturn (leftover from The Flock) and Shane Douglas on the July 29, 1999 edition of ''WCW Thunder''. When the group first came together as fan favorites, it was with the idea that they were a group of younger wrestlers who had felt slighted by WCW management, never giving them the chance to be stars, while always giving older, more established wrestlers the top spots. Bash at the Beach (1999) was the sixth Bash at the Beach professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW). The event took place on July 11, 1999 from the National Car Rental Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As of 2014 the event is available on the WWE Network. Storylines The event featured wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines.
