The New Kids (album)
''The New Kids'' is the first compilation album by South Korean boy band iKON, released through YG Entertainment on January 7, 2019. It is a compilation of the 2017 single album '' New Kids: Begin'', the 2018 album ''Return'', the digital single "Rubber Band", and the EPs '' New Kids: Continue'' and '' New Kids: The Final''. It features the lead single and only new track, "I'm OK". This is the last iKON album to feature the appearance of member B.I before his departure in June 2019. Background YG Entertainment announced the album on Twitter on December 27, 2018, posting that the album would be available online from January 7, 2019, and as a physical version from January 8. IKon
iKon (), stylized as iKON, is a South Korean boy band formed in 2015 by YG Entertainment, consisting of six members: Jay, Song, Bobby, DK, Ju-ne and Chan. Originally a seven-piece band, leader B.I departed from the group in June 2019. Initially introduced in the reality survival show ''WIN: Who is Next'' as "Team B", the group went on to appear in the 2014 reality survival show ''Mix & Match'', which determined the final member lineup of iKon. Robin Cho, better known as Choice37, is a Korean-American record producer, songwriter, and DJ based in South Korea. He joined YG Entertainment as a producer in 2009, and has since produced songs for K-pop artists including Big Bang, Blackpink, G-Dragon, Ikon, and Lee Hi. Biography Choice37 was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where he was a member of the hip hop group Longevity Crew. The group released one album, ''Everything Builds'', in 2005. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Founded in 2010. History Gaon Chart was launched in February 2010 by the Korea Music Content Association, under the sponsorship of the South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the aim to create a domestic national chart similar to the ''Billboard'' charts of the United States and the Oricon charts of Japan. It is a part of the Circle Chart, previously known as the Gaon Chart. It compiles shipments in weekly, monthly and year-end format with detailed album sales. History The Gaon Album Chart was launched as a part of the Gaon Chart in February 2010 by Korea Music Content Association and South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Daniel Armand Lee (Korean: Lee Seon-woong; Hangul: 이선웅; born July 22, 1980), better known by his stage name Tablo (Hangul: 타블로), is a Korean-Canadian hip hop recording artist, lyricist, composer and record producer. Tablo is best known as the leader and producer of veteran Korean hip-hop group Epik High, and the founder of independent music label HIGHGRND (High Ground), which housed bands Hyukoh and The Black Skirts. Tablo became employed as a lyricist while still in high school. Under the supervision of Tobias Wolff, Tablo graduated from Stanford University with honors in English literature and creative writing. Yoo Gun-hyung (Hangul: 유건형; born February 14, 1979) is a South Korean recording artist and record producer, best known for his work with PSY, and, in particular, their international hit Gangnam Style. Biography Yoo Gun-Hyung was introduced to the world of K-pop in 1996 as one-half (along with Suh Jung-Hwan) of the Korean hip hop duo ''Untitle.''
