The Mystic Tide
The Mystic Tide were an American rock band who have been credited for creating some of the first psychedelic anthems. Despite their lack of commercial success, they are now highly regarded amongst followers of garage rock and are recognized for their innovative musical approach. The group formed on Long Island and released a total of four singles between 1965 and 1967, all of which were written by the band's guitar player, Joe Docko. The band broke up in 1967 after little commercial success. Many years later in 1994 Docko recorded some new material and that along with three demos, the band's five original singles, and their B-sides would be put out as a CD by Distortions records. Released more than 25 years after the group had disbanded, ''Solid Sound/Solid Ground'', was the first and only album the band ever made. The Numero Group
The Numero Group is an archival record label that creates compilations of previously released music, reissues original albums, and creates album reconstructions from a variety of musical genres. The label, known as Numero, was founded in 2003 by Rob Sevier, Ken Shipley (a former A&R manager for the equally eclectic Rykodisc label), and Tom Lunt. Acid Dreams
''Acid Dreams'' is an unofficial compilation album of American acid rock, garage rock and psychedelic rock songs recorded in the 1960s. It was originally produced in 1979 by a German record shop owner, inspired by Elektra Records' ''Nuggets'' series History In 1979, a Berlin record shop owner issued ''Acid Dreams'' and pressed only 77 copies. The album was primarily available in his store, though some copies were shipped to friends or label owners. The album was heavily bootlegged, and in 1988, a compilation titled ''Acid Dreams Testament'' collected 13 of the original's 18 tracks, and added 15 more songs.
