The Mystic River (Nigerian Series)
''The Mystic River'' is a Nigerian dramatic series produced by Rogers Ofime, streaming on Netflix. The series started 14 May 2021. It consists of one season of six episodes for now, streaming on Netflix, but the series is said to consist of 26 episodes in all, starring popular Nigerian Actors Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule, Lota Chukwu, Joke Muyiwa and a few others. Synopsis The Mystic River series was shot in Ijebu Ode area of Nigeria and the series follows a story of different women disappearing from a particular remote village in Nigeria and worthy of notice is the fact that the women disappearing all had one thing in common which was that there were all pregnant, this continued for many years until a particular doctor comes by a child and the doctor was now on her way to uncovering the very dangerous secrets that houses this mystery. Dele Odule
Dele Odule (born 23 November 1961) is a Nigerian film actor and producer. He was nominated in the "Best Supporting Actor (Yoruba)" category at the 2014 Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in the film ''Kori Koto''. He currently serves as the President of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria. Early life and education Odule was born in the town of Ile-Ife, Osun State, but hails from Oru Ijebu, in Ijebu North local government of Ogun State in 1961, where he had his basic and secondary school education. He holds a Grade II Certificate from the Teacher's Training College, Oru before he proceeded to the University of Ibadan, Oyo State where he studied Theatre Arts. Career Dele started acting in a drama group called Oloko Theatre Group under the mentorship of Mukaila Adebisi. Jide Kosoko
Jide Kosoko (born 12 January 1954) is a Nigerian actor, director and producer. He was born into a royal family, hence his traditional title of prince or "omoba" in the Yoruba language. Early life Prince Jide Kosoko was born in Lagos on the 12th of January 1954, to the Kosoko royal family of Lagos Island. Career Prince Jide Kosoko studied business administration at the Yaba College of Technology. He began his acting career as a child actor in 1964 in a television production named ''Makanjuola''. Joke Muyiwa (born 21 March 1963) is a Nigerian film actress, honorary chief, Ph.D. holder, and lecturer. She lectures in the department of Performing Arts at the Olabisi Onabanjo University. The 2022 Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards held on Saturday, 14 May 2022 at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.
