The Motans
Denis Roabeș, better known as The Motans, is a Moldovan singer, songwriter and lyricist. Life and career 1989–2014 Denis Roabeș was born on August 2, 1989, in the Republic of Moldova. After graduating from high school, he worked as a marketing and sales specialist and lived and worked for three years in Moscow. In 2014, he returned home to the Republic of Moldova because he understood that marketing is not what he wanted to do in life. The stage name has its origins in the artist's dreams. Before starting his music career, Denis only dreamed of tomcats and cats every night for seven years. When he began singing, these dreams disappeared, and for this reason, he chose the name The Motans. 2015–2018 After releasing the song "Versus" in August 2016, The Motans came to the attention of Romanian vlogger Matei Dima. Golden Stag Festival
The Golden Stag Festival ( ro, Cerbul de Aur) is the most popular Romanian song contest and awards, held annually in the town of Braşov, Romania. History The Golden Stag was first held in 1968, but after 1971 it was banned by the Communist leadership. After the fall of Communism, new editions were organised starting from 1992. Between 2010 and 2017 the festival wasn't held due to lack of funds. It returned in 2018. Alexandru Cotoi (often simply Alex Cotoi) is a Romanian composer, producer and disc jockey signed by Global Records. Over the years, he has worked with several high-profile singers including Delia, Irina Rimes, Inna and Alexandra Stan.
