The Monsters Within
The pilot episode of the BBC fantasy television show '' Being Human'' aired on BBC Three on 18 February 2008. As with all episodes of the first and second series of ''Being Human'', this episode was not provided with a name when broadcast. Synopsis Cold open Night scenes of a young man (Mitchell) alone with a young woman (Lauren) are intercut with parallel night scenes of a different, haunted-looking young man ( George) walking alone through the woods. Mitchell and Lauren's date has ended up in her flat, but despite the seductive atmosphere Mitchell seems more interested in talking to an uncomprehending Lauren about George's situation. In subsequent intercuts, George is seen finding a suitable place in the centre of the woods, stripping naked, and then slowly and painfully transforming into a werewolf, screaming throughout the process. Being Human (British TV Series)
''Being Human'' is a British Supernatural fiction, supernatural comedy-drama television show, television series created and written by Toby Whithouse and broadcast on BBC Three. The show blends elements of Roommate, flatshare comedy and horror drama. The Pilot (Being Human), pilot episode starred Andrea Riseborough as Annie Sawyer (a ghost), Russell Tovey as George Sands (a werewolf), and Guy Flanagan as John Mitchell (Being Human), John Mitchell (a vampire) – all of whom are sharing accommodation and attempting as well as they can to live a "normal" life and blend in with the ordinary humans around them, striving to fit in more. Annie Sawyer
Anna Clare "Annie" Sawyer is a fictional character in the comedy-drama television series '' Being Human'', portrayed by Lenora Crichlow. The female lead for the duration of the show's first four series, Crichlow appears as Annie in thirty-one episodes altogether, more than any other character in the series. She also appeared in three Being Human novels. Within the series narrative, Annie is a ghost haunting the house she lived in with her fiancé whilst she was alive. Prior to the first episode, she is joined by George Sands (a werewolf) and John Mitchell (a vampire), who are able to see her because of their own supernatural conditions. The extent of Annie's visibility to humans varies depending on her mood and her confidence. Annie's eyes turn blue when she is visible to humans, and violet when she is haunting. ''Phoo Action'' is a BBC Three 60 minute TV pilot, one of six drama pilots that were transmitted in early 2008, and was first broadcast on 12 February 2008 at 21:00 UTC. ''Phoo Action'' is based on the Jamie Hewlett-created comic strip ''Get the Freebies'', which ran in '' The Face'' from June 1996 to June 1997. ''West 10 LDN'' was a one-off BBC Three youth drama, written and created by Noel Clarke and directed by Menhaj Huda, first broadcast on 10 March 2008. The screenplay was based on the novel ''Society Within'', a short story collection by Courttia Newland.
