The Method (2005 Film)
''The Method'' ( es, El método) is a 2005 thriller film directed by Marcelo Piñeyro and based on the 2003 play ''El mètode Grönholm'' by Jordi Galceran. It stars Eduardo Noriega, Najwa Nimri, Eduard Fernández, Pablo Echarri, Ernesto Alterio, Natalia Verbeke, Adriana Ozores and Carmelo Gómez, as the only eight actors in the film. Synopsis After an introduction showing the AZCA area of Madrid during a meeting of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank with accompanying anti-globalization protests, the entire film happens within a corporate building (outdoor scenes shot by Torre Europa), mostly in a closed conference room. The story tells of seven people that have been selected among several applicants for one final round to determine who will get an enviable, executive position for a mysterious corporation, Dekia. Marcelo Piñeyro
Marcelo Piñeyro (born March 5, 1953) is an Argentine award-winning film director, screenwriter, and film producer. Biography Born in Buenos Aires, Piñeyro studied cinematography at the University of La Plata's School of Fine Arts. In 1980, he and his associate Luis Puenzo founded Cinemania, a Latin American production company. In 1984, Piñeyro came to international attention as executive producer of ''The Official Story'' (directed by Luis Puenzo). In 1985, the film became the first Latin American movie to win an Academy Award for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, Best Foreign Language Film. In 1992, Piñeyro premiered as a director with ''Tango Feroz'' (''Tanguito, Wild Tango''). In Argentina, the film set attendance records and initiated a debate about the country's past.
