The Journey (TV Series)
The Journey (Chinese: 信约) is a Singaporean transmedia project about the story of Singapore, aired from 2013 to 2015. It consists of three parts: '' A Voyage'', which is about the early settlers that arrived in Singapore, '' Tumultuous Times'', which is about the Second World War, as well as Singapore's road to independence, and ''Our Homeland'', which is about Singapore's progress as a nation, which is slated to wrap up during Singapore's 50th birthday. The drama trilogy focuses on a fictional depiction of the events and lives of the people in each era. Plot ''The Journey: A Voyage'' showcases the human spirit in Singaporeans of the past from the 1920s through the 1930s. The Little Nyonya
''The Little Nyonya'' ( zh, c= ) is a 2008 drama serial on Singapore's free-to-air MediaCorp TV Channel 8. It stars Jeanette Aw, Qi Yuwu, Dai Xiangyu, Lin Meijiao, Pan Lingling, Cynthia Koh, Pierre Png, Joanne Peh, Desmond Sim, Eelyn Kok, Andie Chen, Ng Hui and Xiang Yun as the casts of the series. ''In Pursuit of Peace'' is a Singaporean television drama set in Japanese occupation of Singapore, Japanese-occupied Singapore during World War II. The series was first run on Channel 8 (Singaporean TV channel), MediaCorp Channel 8 from 9 March to 11 May 2001 on Friday nights. ''Stepping Out'' () is a 1999 Singaporean Mandarin drama series adapted from a historical book, which reran several times like in 2006, 2019 and in 2021. ''The Price of Peace'' is a Singaporean television drama set in Japanese-occupied Singapore during World War II. It starred Rayson Tan, Xiang Yun, Chen Shucheng, Jacintha Abisheganaden, James Lye, Lina Ng, Christopher Lee, Ivy Lee, Carole Lin and Ryan Choo. It was first aired on TCS Eighth Frequency (now MediaCorp Channel 8) on 30 June 1997. Although the drama was originally in Mandarin, an English-dubbed version was also broadcast on TCS Fifth Frequency (now MediaCorp Channel 5) in 1999. Olivia Ong
Olivia Ong (; born ) is a Singaporean singer and actress. The majority of her works are in Mandarin Chinese, but she has also recorded songs in English, Cantonese and Japanese. Joi Chua (, born 3 August 1978) is a Singaporean female pop singer. Her most famous songs are "Waiting for a Sunny Day" (《等一个晴天》), "Watching the Sunrise With Me" (《陪我看日出》), the Chinese version of " Nada Soso" and "Wind Chimes" (《风铃》). Alfred Sim Chee Hao (born 4 October 1981), is a Singaporean singer and athletics coach. He is best known for being the overall winner of the third season of reality singing competition '' Project SuperStar''.
