The Invincibles (cricket)
The Australian cricket team in England in 1948 is famous for being the only Test cricket, Test match side to play an entire tour of England without losing a match. This feat earned them the nickname of "The Invincibles", and they are regarded as one of the greatest cricket teams of all time. According to the government of Australia, Australian federal government, the team "is one of Australia's most cherished sporting legends". The team was captained by Don Bradman, who was making his fourth and final tour of England. Including five Test matches, Australia played a total of 34 matches, of which 31 were first-class cricket, first-class, between 28 April and 18 September. Two of the non-first-class matches were played in Scotland. They had a busy schedule, with 112 days of play scheduled in 144 days, meaning that they often played every day of the week except Sunday. In Association football, football, "The Invincibles" is a nickname used to refer to the Preston North End F.C., Preston North End team of the 1888–89 in English football, 1888–89 season, managed by William Sudell, and the Arsenal F.C., Arsenal 2003–04 Arsenal F.C. season, team of the 2003–04 FA Premier League, 2003–04 season managed by Arsène Wenger. The 1982 Kangaroo tour was the fifteenth Kangaroo tour where the Australian national rugby league team played a number of matches against British and French rugby league teams, in addition to the Rugby league#Competitions, Test matches. The Australia national rugby league team have generally since 1908 barring wartime, toured Great Britain every four years often capping the tour with matches and Tests in France. Les Invincibles
''Les Invincibles'' is a comedy/drama television series from Radio-Canada produced by Casablanca Productions and Alliance Atlantis Vivafilm. The story is about four men in their early thirties signing a pact ordaining the simultaneous break-up of their current relationships, and the subsequent adoption of a common responsibility-free life. In 2006, the show won an "Olivier" for best drama series. The third and last season ended on March 25, 2009. A remake of the series was made in France. The Irish National Invincibles, usually known as the Invincibles, were a freedom fighter organization based in Ireland active from 1881 to 1883. Founded as splinter group of the Irish Republican Brotherhood, the group had a more radical agenda, and was formed with an intent to target those who implemented English policies in Ireland. Phoenix Park Attack After numerous attempts on his life, Chief Secretary for Ireland William Edward "Buckshot" Forster resigned in protest of the Kilmainham Treaty. The Invincibles settled on a plan to kill the Permanent Under Secretary Thomas Henry Burke at the Irish Office.
