The International 2022
The International 2022 (also known as TI 11 and TI 2022) was the 11th iteration of The International, an annual ''Dota 2'' world championship esports tournament hosted by Valve, the game's developer. The tournament followed the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC), an annual series of tournaments awarding points to teams, with the top 12 earning invitations and a further eight earning them by a series of qualifying playoffs. The tournament was held in Singapore in October 2022 and was the first International where the main event was hosted at more than one venue, as the playoffs took place at Suntec Singapore followed by the grand finals at Singapore Indoor Stadium. As with every International from 2013 onwards, the prize pool was crowdfunded by the ''Dota 2'' community via its battle pass feature with the total reaching 19 million, the smallest prize pool for an International since 2015. ''Dota 2'' is a 2013 multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) video game by Valve. The game is a sequel to ''Defense of the Ancients'' (''DotA''), a community-created mod for Blizzard Entertainment's '' Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos.'' ''Dota 2'' is played in matches between two teams of five players, with each team occupying and defending their own separate base on the map. Each of the ten players independently controls a powerful character known as a "hero" that all have unique abilities and differing styles of play. During a match players collect experience points and items for their heroes to successfully defeat the opposing team's heroes in player versus player combat. A team wins by being the first to destroy the other team's "Ancient", a large structure located within their base. The International 2015
The International 2015 (TI5) was the fifth edition of The International, an annual ''Dota 2'' esports championship tournament, which took place at the KeyArena in Seattle. Hosted by Valve, the game's developer, the tournament began in May with the qualifier phase and ended after the main event in August. The tournament awarded one of the biggest prize pools in esports tournament history, at over 18 million, with the winning team, Evil Geniuses, being awarded over $6 million. Talon Esports is a professional esports organisation based in Hong Kong with teams competing across the Asia Pacific. Its ''League of Legends'' team is known as PSG Talon due to its partnership with PSG Esports, and competes in the Pacific Championship Series, the top-level league for the game in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia. Royal Never Give Up (RNG) is a Chinese esports organization whose ''League of Legends'' team competes in the League of Legends Pro League. It was established in May 2015. RNG won the 2016 LPL Spring Playoffs, 2018 LPL Spring Playoffs and 2018 LPL Summer Playoffs, and is the champion of the 2018, 2021, and 2022 Mid-Season Invitational. Its sister team is Royal Club. OG is a professional esports organisation based in Europe. Formed in 2015, they are best known for their ''Dota 2'' team who won The International 2018 and 2019 tournaments. Respawns
In video games, spawning is the live creation of a character, item or NPC. Respawning is the recreation of an entity after its death or destruction, perhaps after losing one of its lives. Despawning is the deletion of an entity from the game world. All player characters typically spawn at the start of a round, whereas some objects or mobs may spawn after the occurrence of a particular event or delay.
