''The Iceman Ducketh'' is a 1964 Warner Bros. '' Looney Tunes'' theatrical cartoon directed by Phil Monroe and Maurice Noble, with a story by John W. Dunn. The short was released on May 16, 1964, and stars Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. It was the penultimate Warner Bros. Theatrical Cartoon to feature Bugs Bunny and the last Warner Bros. theatrical cartoon to feature Bugs and Daffy together until '' Box-Office Bunny'' in 1991, and the last that the Chuck Jones unit worked on, though Chuck Jones himself was fired at an early stage of production and replaced by Monroe (by the time it was released, Jones had already produced two cartoons at his new studio, Sib-Tower 12 Productions). Phil Monroe
Philip Monroe (October 31, 1916 – July 13, 1988) was an American animator and director best known for working for Warner Bros. Cartoons under the supervision of Chuck Jones. Monroe had also worked for UPA. Career Monroe started working at Leon Schlesinger Productions (the company later known as Warner Bros. Cartoons) in June 1934. He was initially only an inbetweener. The studio at this point was loosely-enough organized to allow opportunities of rapid advancement for ambitious young inbetweeners, like Monroe. According to a later interview with Monroe, "some guys" were content to be "inbetweeners all their lives", while others searched for opportunities to do something else and move up in the studio's hierarchy. Monroe himself managed to befriend animator Robert McKimson and served as his inbetweener for a while. He was soon promoted to become McKimson's assistant. Hibernation is a state of minimal activity and metabolic depression undergone by some animal species. The klondike () is a region of the territory of Yukon, in northwestern Canada. It lies around the Klondike River, a small river that enters the Yukon River from the east at Dawson City, Yukon, Dawson City. The area is merely an informal geographic region, and has no function to the territory as any kind of Administrative division, administrative region. The Klondike is famed due to the Klondike Gold Rush, which started in 1896 and lasted until 1899. Gold has been mined continuously in that area, except for a pause in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Charles Martin Jones (September 21, 1912 – February 22, 2002) was an American animator, director, and painter, best known for his work with Warner Bros. Cartoons on the ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' series of shorts. He wrote, produced, and/or directed many classic animated cartoon, Animated Cartoon shorts starring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, Pepé Le Pew, and Porky Pig, among others.
