''The House Among the Cactuses'' ( es, La casa entre los cactus, links=no) is a 2022 Spanish psychological thriller film directed by Carlota González-Adrio in her feature debut and written by Paul Pen. It is an adaptation of the latter's novel of the same name. It stars Ariadna Gil, Daniel Grao, and Ricardo Gómez. Plot The plot concerns the arrival of (and ensuing disruption caused by) a stranger (Rafa) to an idyllic community of cacti-growing people living in a remote valley and hiding a secret. The aforementioned community is formed by Rosa, Emilio and their daughters, all of them named after flowers (Lis, Iris, Melisa, Lila and Dalia). Paul Pen is a Spanish author of literary fiction, thriller and suspense. His first novel, ''El aviso'', earned him the title of Fnac New Talent in 2011 and has been translated into German, Italian and English. History 3/24 was born on 11 September 2003 as an initiative of the Catalan public television to develop digital terrestrial television in Catalonia. However, a general lack of DVB-T set top boxes combined with slight public interest towards digital terrestrial television prompted TVC to simulcast in analogue. ''Fotogramas'' is Spanish digital and print film magazine which has been in circulation since 1946. It is one of the early film magazines in Spain. History Founded in Barcelona, it was first published on 15 November 1946 by Antonio Nadal-Rodó and María Fernanda Gañán. On 5 February 1951, the magazine awarded their first Placa de San Juan Bosco award to actor Jesús Tordesillas for his performance in 1950 film ''Pequeñeces''.
