The Get Set is a Los Angeles, California rock/alt-pop band. Biography Formed in 2001, Los Angeles-based The Get Set features Rob Goraieb and Mark Powell who were previously in the band Kosmos Express. The Get Set's debut ''Down Marriott Lane!'' (released early 2002) featured the song "Best Friend (I Was About To Be)" and was produced by Rob Laufer. Rob Goraieb
Rob Goraieb, born in Los Angeles, California, United States, is an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist. Biography Rob Goraieb formed Kosmos Express, exclusively signed to Zomba Music Group record labels, and was also the leader of The Get Set on Crank! A Record Company. In 2003, Goraieb released a solo record, ''Apartment 305'' ( B/R/M Records and Not Lame Recordings). Produced by Rob Laufer, guests on the record include bassist Dan Schwartz and drummer Mark Powell. ''Apartment 305'' featured the songs "Soho (I Can Make It So)" and "Get It Right.” Goraieb got his start with Gleaming Spires, the band for Sparks, performing on Gleaming Spires' record, ''Funk For Children'' (released on the Posh Boy Records/ Vodka Label). Kosmos Express was a rock band from the 1990s. They were represented in both the mainstream and Christian market. Biography From early 1997 to mid-1998, Kosmos Express released two critically acclaimed records, ''Now'' featuring the hit song “Beautiful” co-produced by Craig Nepp (Save Ferris, The Ventures, Sense Field, Jeffries Fan Club) and ''Simulcast'', featuring the smash-hit song “The Force” produced by Gene Eugene ( Aunt Bettys, Starflyer 59) both on Zomba Music Group labels. Paul David Hewson (born 10 May 1960), known by his stage name Bono (), is an Irish singer-songwriter, activist, and philanthropist. He is the lead vocalist and primary lyricist of the rock band U2. The Soweto Gospel Choir is a South African gospel group. History The Soweto Gospel Choir was formed in Soweto, South Africa, by David Mulovhedzi and Beverly Bryer, and producers Andrew Kay, David Vigo and Cliff Hocking in 2002. The more than 30-member ensemble blends elements of African gospel, Negro spirituals, reggae and American popular music.
